I with you Eion. I think a cold windy wintery night helped our big blockheads look the goods.

I don't see a future in having Talakai filling in as a replacement center should we lose a back or two.

Pretty lucky there last night.

The winger conundrum is real.

I seriously don’t think Ronny gets his jersey back. Katoa scoring tries for fun and Goodwin safe as houses.

I can’t remember the last time I seen one of our outside backs close to the top 3 with scoring tries.

A man had 17 cows. He died. His will said:
The first son gets 1/2 of the cows.
The second son gets 1/3 of the cows.
The third son gets 1/9 of the cows.

The sons could not figure out how to divide the cows.

A neighbor wanted to help so he loaned a cow to them.

Then the first son took 1/2 of 18 cows = 9 cows.

The second son took 1/3 of 18 or 6 cows.

The third son took 1/9 of 18 or 2 cows.

That makes 9 + 6 + 2 = 17 cows. So the neighbor took his cow back home. Explain.

An oldie but goodie.
Ive not seen that one before but seen the same done with 3 guys paying for a hotel room.

No answer. Just a clever mathematical mindbender.
Has to do with the order of operations.

Bloody hell.

Okay 1/18 is unaccounted for in the will. They could split that evenly so they get extra 1/54th each.

Then round to either get whole cows or cut the last one into steaks.

Agree Katoa retains his spot on current form, but can’t agree on Goodwin.

Goodwin may be safe, but Ronnys best is far better than his. Ronny brings much needed passion to the side and brings the ball out from the back harder (critical with the other back 2 being small).

As soon as Ronny is fit he’s back in my side and first winger picked.

The old mans a merkin and so are you for making me look at this. He hasn’t come up with a neat division, and it requires rounding.

I heard the old Lloyd Bridges sold his 17 cattle to the Chinese prior to his passing.

Fair enough I just think Ronny has a couple of extra errors more than Goodwin but that’s what makes this interesting as we actually have wingers that need to fight for their spots. Depending on how Nene goes with his fitness, he could trump both Goodwin and Ronnie and possible even Sione? Interesting times out wide but a good position to be in I suppose.

The other benefit is that Goodwin & McDonald can play centre should either Dugan/Ramien get injured

HAHAHAHA

Answer:
The three fractions in the father's will do not add up to one.
1/2 + 1/3 + 1/9 = 17/18.
So, the first son got more than he should have (9 cows instead of 8.5).
The second son got more than he should have (6 cows instead of 5.67).
The third son got more than he should have (2 cows instead of 1.89).
There should have been 17/18 of a cow left over...

I probably would have just butchered them and thrown them all in a giant mincer then distributed by weight

.More logical.

I've been through a similar thing fairly recently.. Half that and split the rest up because of one greedy merkin. All good though.
