Ala football when you can sign a player for a transfer fee despite them being contracted. This time though, Bateman kicks up a stink that he is not getting his 950k and then seeks a release. We offered 750k when in reality that is probably 100k more than his worth. In the end, we get no compensation fee... just a hole in the roster to be filled.

Apples, Oranges but one thing we can all agree on is that Bateman and Super Moses screwed up on this one.

Nobody held a gun to the Raiders heads saying to pay a transfer fee. Nobody held a gun to the Raiders head saying to release Bateman so he could get a better deal.
