Does anyone have any idea as to why the TV ratings in Melbourne are always higher( 99.9% of the time) than those of Sydney? Not just Football , News - drama anything on TV.

you got more people watching gogglebox in Sydney, not sure what that says about Sydney viewers?
It is interesting. most shows rate 40-100k more in Melbourne than Sydney, football rates 100-150k higher in Melbourne for most games.

other thing is why when on a secondary channel AFL games are rated as metro yet NRL games in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne are not included in metro ratings?

In an industry that lives and dies on Metro ratings I’ve no idea why nine would choose not to add 40-50k viewers to their ratings for nrl games?

Force down TV rights!!.Nine doing that? It's not their go, they are fair and honest and actually overpay for the rights, just ask them.
