Well, what a huge week this is going to be as we hit the halfway mark of the Season against Newcastle on Saturday night. It's a huge week for us. We all said last week that the way the Tigers were playing, it'd be a big test of where we were at, well this week is a monumental test of where we're at. The Knights are playing that well this year that I see them as a genuine top four contender so it's going to be a tough battle, a battle we simply have to perform well in if we want to so our top four intensions.
Once again. I think the key battle this week will be in the forwards. Their pack is outstanding and has really aimed up this year so we're gonna have to hold our own there to not let them gain the advantage. That'll be easier said than done. Something else that'll be easier said than done is shutting down their main attacking weapons, Ponga is obviously the main one. We saw last night how Newcastle attacked when Ponga was ineffective and we need to try replicate what the Eels did and try and minimise Ponga's effect. The other is obviously Pearce, we'll need to be on our toes there.
For us, it only gets harder considering we're going to be without Latrell, our superstar and big weapon on both attack and defence. However, in such a big game like this against quality opposition, we can't let it impact us too much and it has to be business as usual. Once again, execution is the key herif we want to win. The Knights won't give us many chances so we have to earn our chances and then take them when the moment arises.
I know the boys can do it this week!!
