Rumours and Stuff

I agree that on paper nobody has a better team then us. Our only weakness is inexperience in key attacking positions, and we are countering this with dominance through the middle. It's good coaching, or at least not bad coaching. The only fix is in recruiting. Should we have signed Blake Green? How does that help Dylan Brown, who is a first grader and one of our highest paid players? We need to allow for our weaknesses like every other club does.

Didn't say we should of signed Green unless as a backup safety net or possible 10-15 min dummy half. But what I do expect by now is that Moses start to fulfil his promised potential and start to manage the game much better, especially with the momentum our forwards are giving him now.

He needs to scream at the players if they are not in motion virtually all the time to give him the optimum amount of options out there at the very least. But more so, this should of been all worked out at training and then practiced on the field during games.

Where are all the plays he should be crafting out there? He is running around out there with no options, especially when we are in the good part of the field. To often lost and doing circles at times. That is not great game management mate. The only excuse I could offer is he maybe playing slightly injured, but even then, he isn't showing signs of a guy that is playing injured but more of a who just gets it wrong.

No, we are in trouble again of bowing out of the semis probably in the second week. We are just luckier this year that around 10 teams are totally crap and we have a very, very strong roster up front and a great fullback that is equal to any in the NRL for making opportunities happen. It is a pity that our 7 is still trying to learn how to manage a team around the park. If he could, we could win this baby very easily I think no matter who we played. This experience that many of you are always bringing up, not our problem. We have more then enough to win big games and talent to burn. The one piece that we are missing is Moses to hit his straps and dominate games and constantly call the right shots.

This should all be sorted at training. He should be working overtime with the back rowers and centres in particular on set moves for different scenarios in a game. He should now be able to look up and find the weak gazelle in the line and setup 2, 3, 4, 5 plays if need be to find him out and expose him with a try at the end of it. There are always weak and vulnerable players in every team. Very rarely do we work toward exposing them with persistent planed moves. It should all start with Moses. He needs to take the lead in this. No one else can do it in our team other then Guth, but it should be Moses with Guth as an option to play a role.

No excuses.

Moses is a playmaker who is best at running the ball. People who say he is 'more of a five eighth' are correct. It's why we play such a simple game plan. The reason Moses wears 7 is the same reason Jahrome Hughes and Kyle Flanagan (and now Lachlan Lam) wear 7; because they play on the right hand side of the field. Moses also happens to be our main kicker, and he is a very good one.

Moses is a good talker and he makes sure we follow the game plan, but the days of halfbacks making up their own gamelan on the fly ended with Thurston.
