Supercars have invested in a massive corporate/pit structure and stadiums they lug around the country. Its not unheard of.

Supercars race at tracks already built. mostly? All they ship round is some big trucks with cars and parts in it.

Where do you come from? and who do you support?
You certainly have no idea about Penrith!
Do you realise that there are more junior players in the Penrith Juniors than the rest of Sydney combined (excluding the shrinking Parramatta juniors)?
The area is also home for 2 of the largest Soccer associations in the state - Nepean and Blacktown.

but let’s just build stadiums to suit soccer, RU and penalise the biggest RL area in the world.

Why dont the jnrs go to Panthers games? Surely that many kids playing the game Panthers park should be sold out every week?

Just remember that the largest RL nursery in the world is around Penrith, and there are a lot of Panther supporters in the Blue Mountains.

I don't understand what junior numbers has to do with getting a stadium, its an irrelevant argument.

Supercars lugs about 10k in grandstand seating (made up of 10 x 1000 seat grandstands) and a massive corporate/pit facility between the street circuit races.

So you advocate building stadiums for NRL clubs that have no juniors, because they have A-League or RU teams in the area.
People here keep saying that better stadiums attract better crowds but then say the area that produces the most RL players should have a sub standard stadium because they only support an NRL team.
If being a heartland of the game isn’t a better reason for supporting a stadium than having an A-league or RU team in the area then there is something wrong.

Juniors mean nothing, it is not Rugby League building these stadiums, it is the State Government and they want a better return than a venue that would host 15 events a year.

That is a totally ridiculous argument. The same argument could have been applied to Parramatta who had the second biggest area but wasn’t.
Where is the reward for the club, parents and kids of the area for being Rugby League followers?

Reward for supporting a sport?

So because we don’t support RU, soccer (even though 2 of the 3 biggest soccer associations in the state Are Blacktown and Nepean) or live in a close marginal seat, they neglect the area. Isn’t that discrimination?

Neglect the area lol, the junior leagues and junior soccer associations have plenty of places to play, there are many many sporting facilites in Penrith. There is one elite team in Penrith that draws a crowd in excess of 10000 people. There is not the demand for a new stadium.

SFS and ANZ before it’s rebuild was shelved has a BCR of less than 1 and even the government’s own papers has admitted the reasoning for stadiums being built was for ‘social benefit’ and they cited disability access as an example. Parramatta stadium’s findings wasn’t even submitted by the Libs. Doesn’t sound like something they’d do for an economy benefitting investment. And its fine if it isn’t, not every government investment is for the sake of profit.

Is the new SFS going to be where the big games are held if ANZ doesnt get a proper configuration, or is the SFS too small? I can’t remember what the new capacity is

you seem to be arguing panthers should get a new stadium because there’s lots of kids playing rl in the area, but as these kids arent going to watch the panthers it seems a strange justification? As mentioned bankwest was bout as A) it is owned by nsw govt and b) Has numerous clubs using it meaning a half decent roi. Maybe panthers could invest some of their pokie wealth in their own stadium?

It was just another one of the blunders Phil Gould made when in charge of Penrith that he apposed a Penrith WNRL team for no good reason except that he is a backwards knuckle dragger.
The NRL were begging for a western WNRL team and Parra and Penrith said no. In Parra's case at least they already had the upgrades to the stadium they wanted.
If Penrith could argue that they have women's team that they need the government to get behind they would probably get their upgrades.
Gould really missed the boat here.

But there is in Manly? or Liverpool (where there are no teams)?
