It'd be worth seeing what he can do without big money sponges like Packer, Reynolds and Mbye wrecking the cap to be fair.

There's hardly anyone markedly better out there anyway

definitely true, but this roosters team was there to be beaten. Why start knuckling down when you’re 20 down and essentially out of the game.
Exactly, where was that effort in the 1st half. But Easts defended well it has to be said so in essence, it was loss in the first 30 mins.

There are three types of coaches: those who can build and maintain rosters, those who can push a given roster towards a premiership, and those who can do both. To be the latter is very rare; generally, they're either good at one or the other (or none if you're a Stephen Kearney/Paul McGregor).
