SU did in deed look much better the players seemed to be playing for each other again.
The difference was experience. SU are all a very young side if they had one old head controlling things they would have won reasonably easy today, but hey thats football

Glebe-Burwood scored five tries in the final 19 minutes to put Thirroul to the sword 36-18 at Gibson Park. A healthy vocal home crowd willed the Butchers on to an 18-10 lead early in the second half, but a strong performance from Liam Coleman and another barnstorming display from Tom Hazelton got the Dirty Reds home. Jacob Gagai also a standout for the visitors.

It will be interesting to see if North Sydney can stop Maitland from running riot. Norths have only lost 1 game but their last start was not particularly impressive, The Rams had scored only 34 points in their first 6 games but managed to get 26 against Norths.

I didnt realise how bad the situation was at Cabramatta Leagues Club. It has developed a proposal to merge with Cabra Vale Diggers, with the Diggers taking over all the assets and liabilities of the Leagues Club. Cabra had sought expressions of interest from other clubs in May 2019.

It will be positive for the Football club with a guarantee of $1 million per annum, of which half will be allocated to semi-pro competitions.

Wenty Leagues has released its Financial statements for 2019. The $4.2 million increase in revenue was more than offset by a near 20% increase in staffing costs plus increased depreciation and interest charges stemming from redevelopment of the club. Thus net assets fell from $109 million to $107 million.

I am led to believe revenue was down considerably due to the loss of many big spending locals as patrons. I am thinking the many changes regarding the restaurant also caused a loss in profits

It's incredible how piss poor the NSWRL is.

They still haven't fixed that match day system that lists all score updates as having happened in the first half.

Which has made it glaringly obvious that their 'match report' for the 1st vs 2nd match yesterday between Maitland and Norths was written by someone who didn't even watch the game, despite it being live streamed.

The report claimed Maitland ran out to a 14-0 lead early but it was two tries apiece until right before half-time.

Also says "Jordan Ah-One-Remfrey saw a gap in Maitlands defence" when he scored from a 90-metre intercept.

What happened to the old magazine that used to cover NSWRL games?

A few years ago NSWRL decided that only Matthews and Ball comps would appear in the magazine, but even before that point all the volunteer reporters were given the boot and all match reports disappeared. Things just keep going backwards. In 1910 you could find team lists for clubs in the Junior leagues every Friday/Saturday in the major sydney newspapers and I have seen the programs that were issued every week at the gates in balmain junior league in the 1940's covering every game in the district.

There have been a limited number of occasions where the timings of tries has been correct so it is possible that it is just boofheads looking at the clock with time remaining rather than the computer compelling them.

I dont know if Cronulla Caringbah were trying to "out" the fake reporters from NSWRL but a few weeks ago they listed kamryn Cryer and Joe Tramontona as props so when half back cryer converted the first try it referred to him as a prop, and when Joe Tramontona, who is a flyweight hooker, occupying an interchange backrower role due to the presence of Michael Lichhaa, scored, it said he used his weight to force his way over.

It is hard to see anyone testing Maitland. That 90 metre intercept try by Remfry appeared to keep Norths in the hunt, but the further the game went, the difference in class of the 2 sides became more apparent. Ryde eastwood were as equally dominant in crushing a fairly experienced Belrose side last week.

Tramontana has legitimately been used as a prop this season for Cronulla, believe it or not.
He is small for the rake position let alone prop forward, but has played quite well despite his small size, even grabbing a few tries close to the posts.Licah was never going to be replaced as hooker.

Jarom Haines, a NSW Pioneers rep in 2019, switched from Kurri to Maitland at the start of this season. Although he has not played apart from an early trial, he has resigned with the Pickers for 2021.

The drug ban on NSW Cup back, Tom Carr expired on Tuesday, and he returned to the field yesterday, playing full back for Cronulla Caringbah and scored 4 tries. I dont think he will be eligible to play in the semis.

RMC
Thirroul 24 Wenty 12 - This means that Hills must beat Dubbo today to qualify for the top 4.
North Sydney 44 Wollongong Wests 0

SS
Caringbah cronulla 48 Wenty 8

If Helensburgh lose to Belrose today, Moorebank will qualify with a draw while Hills will need a win.
