Sterlo dropping bombs of truth. I really hope the coachig staff is aware of these issues and are working to address them.
Doubt BA is aware of them. In presser after game someone said they threw a lot at Waqa and Ferguson. Brads reply was they went well didn't they. I lost count of the number of times Waqa flew out of the line and took nobody. Sorry but thats not doing well! Plus Ferguson accelerated like the QE2 so failed to stop Mansour scoring on halftime despite having plenty of time.

That's only evidence of him not wanting to publicly shit on Waqa and Fergo.

He's going be calculated with what he says at those stupid pressers. Looking for them as some sort of truth or evidence that he isn't aware of something is pretty foolish imo.

If anyone here is interested in a balanced non-hysterical constructive sarcasm free commentary on the Pennys match plus team list predictions going forward, I recommend the TCT Tip Sheet podcast with 40/20 and Sixties.

Warning: The regular haters might find the positives from our top 4 season a bit cringy.

PS: Don’t @ me with your mediocrity BS.

We are missing a true game breaker. If Hayne of 2014 had the team around him that we have now (just hypothetically, i don't need anyone telling me about cap etc.) he would be the game breaker we need, whether that be at fullback, wing or centre. He would have been good for a couple of tries a game whether he be scoring them or setting them up.

Semi is also someone that could have filled this role.

We also need to be better in supporting each other in attack, no one ever pushes up, DBrown takes the line on and pops his nose through and there is never anyone sniffing around, no one, not a backrower, back or fullback.

We are building for the future and having Mahoney and DBrown still developing and gaining experience and Gutho has only just gone over 100 games means we don't have the Roosters or Storm big game, big time experience.

We have recruited well to give the spine some experience and space which will help in the long run but we do need at least another experienced middle and an edge to build the team stronger and help the inexperienced spine.

I was hoping Waqa would be the strike back we needed but so far he has only been ok and shown glimpses but ultimately he is not consistent enough and Jennings tries really hard but he is not creating anything either.

Sivo has not been the same since he hurt his knee. He needs to learn to run harder all the time, maybe he should watch a player like Mansour to see the effort required for 80 mins.

I don't hate our team or players as much as many on here, i do think coaching (whether that b the head coach or assistants) needs to be reviewed and the importance of extra efforts drilled into them as that is what will keep us from being a regular top 8 team to an actual premiership contender.

Penrith are an outlier at the moment in relation to experience and winning however i think with the way the Roosters are playing at the moment Penrith would be bashed out of the game by the experienced players and genuine game breakers the Roosters have. They'd (Penrith) certainly put up a better fight against the Roosters than we did against them though.

You mean when we led the Rooster until Jennings got sin binned for an innocuous escort ?

And the game when the Roosters got FOUR penalty goals all in front of the sticks ?

That was earlier in the year, our form right now vs the Roosters form right now are light years apart, if you can't see that i can't help you.

Korny you literally said that we didn’t put up a fight against the roosters, unlike Penrith who did.

Unfortunately our issues are bigger than just a lack of effort. We can’t score points. And we are leaking far more points in recent games. That’s what needs fixing.

I reckon the points we are leaking go back to our attack, fix the attack and all of a sudden our defence will look rock solid again.

Even at the beginning of the season we were missing plenty of tackles, but our scramble was excellent, much as it was for the first half against the Pennies, You just can't keep doing that if you aren't wearing the other side down, and you are handing them the majority off possession.

Even Chris Smith on 2gb radio said to the continuous call team yesterday, just how predictable are Parra in attack , it’s practically the same every set of 6 . How that gets changed is crucial going forward, may well be the key to success.

That’s the puzzle that the head coach need to solve.

Its like watching the Melbourne cup. Roosters are just getting around the home turn and winding up. Penrith are leading but still pulling hard and Storm are also starting their run.
We on the other hand seem to of hit the corner and falling back to the middle of the field very fast once things start to heat up.

The next 2 weeks are very crucial in terms of getting some consistency and points. Yes both teams are not very good but if we can't get some form on the board in attack we won't be able to just turn it on week one of the finals.

Agree.

Was Speaking to a physio mate who is close with the Panthers physio. Cleary was telling the team that besides offloads, the Eels have nothing in attack that will worry them. He wasn’t wrong.

I am sure the coaching staff also know there is a significant issue, regardless of what is said to the media.

I believe it is an easy fix as we have the players to execute what is required but it may just be that the coaching staff do not have it in them to drill and train into them what is needed.

I actually thought against the Storm you could see an extra emphasis on attack and ball movement was much faster than we usually distributed it but the issue we have is that you need to put that effort in every day at training and in each game to actually execute the plays with more accuracy as you could tell it wasn't something they were used to.

That effort in attack has pretty much disappeared since......

To me the coach seems to have the philosophy that defence will win you games and while he is right, there has to be a focus on attack as well so when you bash the other team out of the game with defence you have points in you to demoralise them, that is what teams like the Roosters and Storm generally do and why they run away with so many games and have a 200+ points differential at this stage of the year.

It’s not really an easy fix if the people charged with implementing the fix don’t know how to do it
