Skyhooks were around when I was in my teens and as I remember they were always very highly rated. Achieved both critical and commercial success. 2JJ played them a lot too.

It’s almost like he was meant to die in India.
That innings of 210 took all the life out of him, this massive heart attack made sure of it.
Very exciting batsman to watch when he was on.

Max Merritt, of Slipping Away and Western Union Man fame has died aged 79.

Max Merritt and the Meteors were one of the first bands I ever saw, at a free concert at Farm Cove at the Capt Cook bicentennial celebrations in April 1970. They played on a pontoon stage. They were a great R & B / soul band, much in the style of The Tesky Brothers.

They were a good band for sure.

However the 17 local member band and their 2016 hit" Premier Shark" will forever remain in my memory bank.

Max's death caused by Goodpasture Syndrome .Never heard of it.A bleeding ,lot of nasties out there.

You are correct mea culpa. Paul Simon was indeed, slip sliding away.There ya go ,as I stated my memory apart from the 2016 victory is rather f*cked. Should have kept my hand off it years ago LOL.
