STRAIGHT FROM THE COACHING MANUALS

Quick Tips for Coaches to Help the Team After a Loss
  • After a loss one of the most important things a coach can do is to emphasize effort (assuming the team didn't quit). ...
  • Re-frame the experience. ...
  • Even in losses, there are always important points to build on for the future. ...
  • Teach the team to develop a short memory for losing. ...
  • Ask the team for their input.
What do you say to a coach after a loss?
You should tell each player about their good qualities whether it is in front of the team or individually. Tell them that you love them. The head coach should be great at reinforcing that you love each other on and off of the court. Showing support and love for people helps them get through tough moments.

How do you cheer up a losing team?
Think ahead to the next game

The best way to motivate the team after a heart-wrenching loss is allow some time to grieve, then encourage the players to move on to the next game. Talk with coaches and players about ways to address aspects of the game that went right and ones that went wrong.

My Takeaway - Teach the team to develop a short memory for losing.

We could/should have the first Interim coach ever
Sacked after so few games

Hook could message the runners from his 2GB mic

...and give us the first Teamsheet Monday

PS
Sacking Hunt & Hairstyle for Rd20 would send them a message about considering their options over Xmas
... and maybe asking for a release

The penny might finally drop that every McGregor recruit/appointee must go - if culture is to change

FMD he never wanted Zac

But this needed to happen weeks ago; we may have got rid of these two imposters by now.
