Yep one year for now.

My pure guess would be stayed for less, wait for Moylan to medically retire or just piss off. Then if you keep being awesome, much upgrade.

Pure speculation.

I believe Tom Ale, Rocco Berry & Paul Turner will be upgraded to full contracts, Adam Keighran and Patrick Herbert possibly to be re-signed, Blair possibly to retire and the rest gone, also rumours that Paasi could be going to the Super League and Hetherington is being chased by us. If we wanted anybody else after that, such as Brandon Smith,
we would have to release someone.

Official press release by club for Fonua-Blake signing:

Fonua-Blake locked in
Powerhouse Mate Ma’a Tonga and Manly front rower Addin Fonua-Blake has today been confirmed as the Vodafone Warriors’ fifth major signing for their 2021 NRL campaign after being secured on a three-year contract to the end of the 2023 season.

The imposing 189cm, 118kg prop’s acquisition follows the signing of his Tonga teammate Ben Murdoch-Masila from Warrington, Parramatta Eels prop Kane Evans and St George Illawarra centre Euan Aitken plus ex-Canberra back rower Jack Murchie, who was signed on an extended deal after initially joining the Vodafone Warriors only until the end of this year.

“Addin’s signing could be one of the most important the club’s history,” said Vodafone Warriors recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan.

“He is exactly what we have been looking for to bring into our squad.

“The transformation of our pack is almost complete having Addin along with Kane Evans and Ben Murdoch-Masila plus the rise of young players like Eliesa (Katoa), Jamayne (Taunoa-Brown) and Jack (Murchie) and injured players returning to complement the skill and work rate of Tohu (Harris) and Jazz (Tevaga).

“Addin has a big motor, power, the skill set and the body shape we were looking for to take our pack to a new level.

“He’s very close to a lot of players in our squad having cemented relationships with them over a number of years at Test level and with the Junior Kiwis. At 24 years of age he has the best years in front of him as a premier front rower in the NRL.”

Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George is elated with the signing.

“It’s a huge coup for us and we’re thrilled to welcome Addin and his family to our club,” he said.

“Having him on board is the missing part of the puzzle as we have worked to establish a squad to compete with the best clubs in the competition.”

Fonua-Blake, who was granted a release from his contract with Manly after playing his 97th and last match for the club on September 11, won’t line up for the Sea Eagles in their season-ending encounter with the Vodafone Warriors this Sunday.

After being used predominantly as an interchange prop in his first two seasons he has been a first-choice starting front rower for Manly since 2018.

In 15 appearances this season he has averaged 167 metres and 26 tackles a game while across his career he averages 125 metres and 21 tackles a match.

He made his international debut with the Kiwis in 2017 but then switched to Tonga in 2018.

Adam Blair retires:

Blair ends 15-season career
Veteran forward Adam Blair will play his 331st and last NRL game tomorrow after confirming his decision today to end his 15-season first grade playing career after the Vodafone Warriors’ 20th-round ‘home’ clash against Manly at Central Coast Stadium in Gosford.

While the 34-year-old had an option in his contract for a fourth season with the club he has decided the time is right to retire.

“Adam has made an amazing contribution not just to the Vodafone Warriors but to rugby league across the board,” said Vodafone Warriors CEO Cameron George.

Cameron GeorgeVodafone Warriors CEO
“He has had a huge influence on our players, especially the younger ones, with the way he has gone about looking after himself. He sets extremely high standards off the field and in the way he prepares himself for every training session and every game.

“It would have been an incredibly difficult decision for Adam knowing he had the option to play on for another year but, in the end, Jess and the kids have come first.

“We can’t thank Adam enough for what he has given to the game but he won’t be lost to the Vodafone Warriors. He’ll remain involved in a special role tailored to his strengths.”

Blair joined the Vodafone Warriors from the Brisbane Broncos (74 games) in 2018 after earlier stints with the West Tigers (71 games) and the Melbourne Storm (121 games).

The ex-Kiwi captain has the record for most NRL appearances by a New Zealander ahead of three other former Kiwi captains in Benji Marshall (323) and former Vodafone Warriors Ruben Wiki (311) and Simon Mannering (301). His tally of 331 will leave him 13th on the all-time list of 41 players in the 300-game club.

He was the 11th fastest overall and the sixth fastest forward to the 300 mark (13 years and 72 days). Blair has distinguished himself as one of the most durable players in the game, missing just 19 of a possible 326 games in the last 13 seasons.

Last year he became only the second Kiwi (after Ruben Wiki) and the ninth player overall to appear in 50 Tests.
