warriors players being away from family for 5 months so the game can continue are good guys. This is just another immature dckhead who doesn’t understand the Concept of professionalism.

Because professionals like lawyers, teachers, fund managers never get drunk & act dumb during holidays or weekends away... No judge or police officer on an RDO would ever drink too much on Australia Day. Thoroughly unprofessional.

pretty sure if they had found themselves in his position then they’d be out of work, either way they’d be just as big a dckhead as he is.
$500k a year and part of your job is about public image and brand protection, other Part is about being in peak physical condition. Not hard to see why Storm booted him.

Looks like he might double his earnings for 2020 with NSW Police tipping in another $500k damages.

If Scott's making bank being an unprofessional dickhead, whats that make the mob who're up for paying damages?

All the trumped up charges dropped, paying court costs and potentially being sued for a further 100k. Surely any rational human being would see this for what it is.
The cops overstepped, but they couldn't just leave him there in the state he was in.

Sleeping?
He was trespassing, he had thrown missiles at moving vehicles, and he was so pissed he couldn't stand up. Try to imagine the repercussions if something happened to him (eg he choked on his own vomit) or if, upon waking up, he did something stupid to someone else after the cops had just left him there.

Exactly. So if a person is in such a state of inebriation & can barely be roused- he probably doesn't need to be hit with chemical weapons & electrocuted... if they gave a crap about his safety instead of being on a sick power trip or thinking their job is to punish annoying people (courts do that, not coppers, in this society) then maybe they could have just called an Ambo & monitored him for safety until he got medical attention?

They can arrest and charge him later. Real life is not an episode of cops. In any sane jurisdiction they would have said ok, this could get ugly, let's talk to this idiot when he sobers up & charge him then. It's the same reason they don't do police vehicle pursuits over minor crimes- because people can needlessly hurt over a parking fine level offence.

They needn't have done that, that is established. But if he won't or can't move on they should he entitled to transport him to the nearest police station for the purpose of arranging transport home, using the minimum necessary force, or he should be able to kept in lockup until he is no longer a danger to himself and others, as was the case in years gone by. Unfortunately that was abused from time to time as well which is perhaps why that right was taken away. The Government I think has to look again at summary offences.

There are some absolute boot lickers on this forum. This story of police brutality and corruption should make everyone angry. It’s not hard to imagine why there is such a rate of indigenous deaths in custody if this is what these merkins get up to when their cameras are on.

the fact they tried to make him out as a woman basher with terms like ‘assaulted female cop’ shows how much corruption there is in the force.

You're absolutely right everyone should be angry at this. If this was just any regular young bloke who couldn't afford the legal reps Curtis can he'd just have to wear it.
