This has become a real "wait" year.......
* Wait to see if league will resume this year because of Covid 19,
* Wait to see who will be selected in the teams,
* Wait to see how the new rules will pan out,
* Wait to see when McGregor will be sacked,
* Wait to see who the interim coach will be,
* Wait to see who the head coach will be,
* Wait to see who the assistant coaches will be and trainers etc,
* Wait to see who the bloody hell we will sign officially.

But wait............

My mother used to say “all good things come to those who wait”

But then again, she was an abusive alcoholic

Sorry to see this Maddragon99, and yes what your mum said is correct and it applies to a majority of us but to many others there are just bad things that come instead.

It's a waiting game DD... but also a game of Poker. Hook is gambling that, as the dust settles after Kevvie's appointment and his review of his playing talent, Brisbane and its recalcitrant, unwanted/want away players will be forced into negotiations with SGI on our terms. The Big O and Bird are two obvious examples but there could be others as well.

Hopefully Hook can sort that out. This kid plays with heart and you can see he tries his best each time he is out there.
On or just after 1 November 2020, Griffin will be interviewed by the resident Dragons interviewer as Griffin will be officially the Dragons coach. I am sure that at that time, he will be answering a lot of questions concerning what his plans are and advising that they are definitely negotiating the signing of a couple of "desired" players.

I don't think Griffin and Millward can say too much as yet until 1 November. So we will be kept in suspense unless someone in the know leaks a few names to confirm those already mentioned or some other(s).

The Rabbitohs have locked up the services of Dragons forward Jacob Host and Warriors flyer Taane Milne to bolster their 2021 squad.

“The South Sydney Rabbitohs are delighted to confirm the signing of second rower Jacob Host until at least the end of the 2023 Season, as well as international centre Taane Milne until at least the end of the 2022 season,” the club said in a statement.

Host, 24, has played 51 NRL matches for the St George Illawarra Dragons since making his NRL debut against the New Zealand Warriors in round nine, 2016.

Milne has represented Fiji in nine Test matches, played for Fiji at the World Cup Nines in 2019, represented the Junior Kiwis for two years as well as the Australian Schoolboys Rugby Union team in 2013.

Rabbitohs Head of Football, Mark Ellison, said Host and Milne will be welcome additions to the Rabbitohs’ squad.

“We’re really looking forward to Jacob and Taane joining us next season,” Mr Ellison said.

“Jacob comes highly recommended by JD (Demetriou) and he has been on our radar for a number of seasons.

“He has performed strongly for the Dragons in the opportunities he’s been given and we’re looking forward to him pushing for a spot in our top 17 on a weekly basis.

“Taane has had limited opportunities to impress in the NRL, but when he has been given a shot, he has shown he has what it takes to perform consistently well at the top level.

“We’re looking forward to having them join our squad for the 2021 pre-season and seeing what they can achieve under the guidance of Wayne (Bennett) and ‘JD’.”

Good luck to both Host and Milne. I am sure that it is Jason Demetriou's choice of these players and they will both be so much better playing under Bennett come 2021 and onwards with Jason at the helm.

Host has been on the Bunnies radar for a couple of years and the opportunity has arrived for Host to change clubs even though his heart is with the Dragons. His lack of first grade game time under the previous coaching staff no doubt helped him to make the decision easier.

JD has to be careful about relying on his past reserve grade players his coached thinking they are the answer to improve their roster. Sele, Marsters and now Milne & Host
