Mate your club would have been considered one of the heavyweights from the start of the NRL era right up until the end of the 2011 season when Bennett left the place to go to shit.

You guys had 11 finals appearances (out of 14) with a premiership, 2 GFs and 4 PFs. That is the same amount of premierships as us and more finals appearances albeit we had more GF/PF appearances.

The dragons have no one to blame but themselves for what has happened since.
Bit unfair mate.

Who could have predicted that spending more than fifteen percent of the salary cap on Ben Hunt and Corey Norman would be a failure?

If we want all clubs to be strong then we need to get rid of the two tier system that creates 'the haves' and 'the have nots'. We need clubs like the Tigers, Titans and Warriors to spend a few years in the top 4. If it comes down to who has the richest owner then the game will lose touch with the public.

I just marvel at the success of the Roosters. Sure the Storm have slightly better results, but they were busted cheating a good chunk of that.

The Roosters however are a true outlier. Enormous success without being caught cheating. Incredible.

Titans are building nicely & may see themselves there in the not too distant future, Warriors could be too if Gus gets things moving in a similar type structure to Penrith & utilizing their resources. Tigers will probably continue doing Tiger things.

Tigers could become giants by relocating to Brisbane. Sell them to Easts Tigers so they can become the Brisbane Tigers. They'd be in the finals every year.

Tigers produced stars like Tedesco, Papenhuyzen and Addo-Carr. Storm and Roosters sign them up and benefit. I have no doubt that if a Bellamy or Robinson got their break at the Tigers then it would only be a matter of time until the Storm signed them away.

Fans don't want their clubs to be a development farm for the Storm and Roosters.

Clubs end up paying overs to prevent these two powerhouses from pillaging their rosters completely, which prevents them from putting together a complete team as they don't have any money left.

did it bother anyone when the cowboys won the 2015 grand final with six players the roosters had developed? That’s over a third of the grand final winning team.

was it the storms fault that the tigers could not develop the talents of ado Carr and Papenhuyzen?

Agreed.

And while many point the finger at Bennett for the following demise I’m not one of them, not in the slightest.

haven’t the warriors had some of the wealthiest owners of any NRL club?
The knights had tinkler, the titans have big backing owners, just because you have money, doesn’t mean you make smart decisions.

Oh yeah but they weren’t given so many leg ups like the Storm.

This is some depressing truth right here.

Cowboys have produced plenty of players that have been picked up by the richer, more favoured clubs. It's why we've struggled over the years.

Roosters have a long history of buying the players they want and need, then discard the ones they see no value in. Some of their cast-offs succeed elsewhere.

Tigers routinely develop great players, only for them to sign with the wealthier clubs. It's why they've only made the finals 3 times.

The Warriors and Titans cop the worst decisions on the field. I've lost count of the amount of games they've lost due to biased refereeing.

I'll give you an example.

Titans would have made the finals this year if it wasn't for Perenara sending off Proctor. Johnston lied through his teeth and set him up by deliberately placing his forearm into Proctor's mouth so he couldn't breathe, then pretended he was bitten. No evidence to send Proctor off. No player had been sent off for biting in the history of the game.
