You must of missed the part where the Chairman said "Aloiai won't be leaving unless we get an advantageous outcome"
Well we got some cash of Manly in compensation, and with Aloiai off the books cap space was freed up to bring in a player in an equivalent position for 3 years who has played origin, semi-finals and a GF.

Your assertion that WT pussied out and all the hyperbole about being lame pillow biting wankers is so from the mark that it's just not funny!

Furthermore - it seems the cash we get from Manly will be used to release Laurie early from Penrith, thus for the first time since Tedesco, Wests Tigers will have a specialist fullback.

It’s not supposed to be funny.
We lost our best forward, who took the piss out of the club publicly and signed a bloke unwanted by the current wooden spoon holders. Once again we are worse off.
These types of negotiations solidify this club as a doormat and one of the most disrespected in the competition.

Did kid yourself that the “undisclosed fee” was anything substantial.
I’d say management has already drank it.

A worse replacement and a couple of bucks.
Cool.

It's not a good deal unless the replacement is a better player than Aloiai. At this point I don't think it's even close and Aloiai kills him. That is why Manly are after him and Brisbane have let JO go.

I just hope that Aloiai has a slump post this point and JO has been in a slump.

I can just picture this. Let's do a deal over lunch. Okay - we'll shout the first 2 beers. The deal is done.

Cool.

A like for like replacement and quite possibly a fullback we need for a back stabbing snake in the grass.

What would you do?

I know exactly what you would do.

You would complain to whoever was closest to you. Then when pressed for a solution to the problem, you would continue to complain about past problems that are vaguely related. When asked to stay on topic, you would continue complaining without solutions.

Its the best of a bad situation and we came out looking good. Aloai is not a world beater. He's a very good prop but so is Ofa.if we get Laurie a year early from it as well then we definitely made this work to our advantage

Definitely?
I’ll remember this I’ll informed and unsubstantiated statement and we can revisit this time next year to dissect what a moron you are. Lock it in.

That is possible but we have to go on current facts and once again we seem to lose on a deal.

You like all of us have (and will not have) no idea what the undisclosed fee was unless the club or Manly tell us.

The POM, who generally gives pretty information said it was 6 figures, I am happy to go with that, unless you have better information.

A wet paper bag is more intimidating than him. Deadset, which opposition player would get scared to tackle him?

I disagree with your assessment. He carried our pack last year. He is a good player. He is a step up from all our middle forwards from last year - Packer, Musgrove, Mikaele, Twal, Eisenhuth, ET etc. Manly went hard for him because he can play. They didn't target any of those other guys. They didn't try and get Tamou on lesser dollars.

He gets it wrong and even then it doesn't really matter. Unless we get something out of the money it's lunch money.

Whats everyones opinion on the Nofo situation. I normally are not one who sees wingers as a must but this bloke is different. He is heart and soul and he is not your normal winger. His involvement even in the middle of the park is so valuable. I think if we give him away to parra we are making them stronger and us weaker. The only reason for us to let him leave is because we are signing a cheaper winger so we can give JAC more otherwise this is just going to be another disheartening player loss that will be hard to replace.

He’s our only clean marquee.

A fully licensed and authorised strike winger/back.

He was outspoken against the players liberation army when they led the change room revolt against Madge and went on the record to the press about it.

Like us, he believed that the players had to earn the right to have a whinge.

He risked friendships to get the club going.

I think he’s entitled to a very generous offer.
