Rank the Brisbane bids

When we talk about the Dolphins having their admin and training base at Redcliffe, we should remember that the Brisbane Lions are moving to Ipswich.
They also have s social club in Logan, just off the motorway in Springwood. They're trying to attract support from the southern metro area. Time for NRL to wake up and put a team down here to counter that.

Would you be happy to see Valleys and Titans link up to become the Gold Coast Diehards, wearing royal blue?

I reckon it would be a great union and make them stronger. Valleys could enter the Queensland Cup to keep the club's proud history alive and Gold Coast would have a potential supporter base on the northside of Brisbane.

it’s 67.5km from Logan to Cubs stadium! You really think Titans are going to draw fans from that far away? There’s an est 675k people living on the Gold Coast, surely getting 3% of them to a game isn’t impossible?

That's why I don't go to Robina unless the Cowboys are playing.

Valleys fans might join as non-ticketed members and watch them on TV, which makes the club more valuable to Ch9 and adds money to its football department.

might is a big word when you’re talking about a multi million $ rebrand, especially for an area that has had as many iterations as Gold Coast has had! There really isn’t any need, it won’t pick up many Logan region fans due to distance and no real connection and runs the risk of alienating what fanbase the Titans has left. They are building strongly and a few seasons of good form will see them fill Robina again with Gold Coast people,

Our teams should use local brands that have history behind them. Names like Broncos, Cowboys and Titans aren't Australian.

To be honest, yes people do commute from Logan to Titans games. It’s only a 40 minute train ride, that’s straight and easy. The train is packed at Beenleigh with fans going down, especially back when they were doing well. Watch it happen again now with the team we have and the success that will come.

Bombers and Western Corridor have merged into a single bid. Now called Brisbane Jets.
So Brisbane Jets takes in Ipswich, Brisbane Firehawks takes in Logan and Dolphins take in Moreton Bay?

Broncos are already on the western side of town with plenty of fans from Ipswich. Just change their name from Broncos to Western Brisbane Jets based at Red Hill and Leagues Clubs there and at Ipswich, add Southern Brisbane Firehawks with Leagues Clubs at Coorparoo and Logan, and the Northern Brisbane Dolphins based at Redcliffe. Then we can add Perth and NZ 2 around 2030 and have a 20 team competition.

Western Brisbane Jets. Green, gold and white.
Southern Brisbane Firehawks. Gold, blue and black.
Northern Brisbane Dolphins. Red, white and silver.

That's what I'm thinking

There would be zero support for rebranding the Titans. The Bears were fought against hard back in ‘17, and I can’t see it being any different again. Plus we are on the up and up, and this time with the right people running the show, there is no need to change anything. Finally, changing the colours would be the worst thing to do for a Coast club, the colours are exactly on point- sun, surf and sea- royal blue has nothing to do with our beautiful city!
