That was the best game the Warriors have played since 2018 versus the Rabbitohs in Perth under SK.

That performance was brilliant.

What I have enjoyed most under Brown is that the new signings who everyone bagged have ended up among our best players.

Curran was close to MOM and Evans was good, SOS was good, Pompey was fantastic, Montoya was again excellent.

This has doubled our depth, under Brown we have far more options to choose from.

Also the Dragons have not changed their template of how to beat the Warriors for 25 years because it works...and has always worked....

We had the right coach today to strip that down and defeat them.

Turner, who came on for Hiku, also hit the ground running. We had no time to naval-gaze, and neither did they.

Plenty of character shown in that one, great resilience and will to get the job done for their mates

Halves still have plenty of work to do, it was terrible to not be setting up for a drop goal when 6 in front and 5mins to go but the side covered them today, brilliant

RTS dragged the game home that 2nd half

Isn't this win #5 in a row against Drags? And Pompey & Curran were Kearney signings... tho they're both looking much better this season.

Apart from that, nice post :p

Yes we have enjoyed rare form of late over the Dragons, but if you watched them bash the Eels last week you cannot take anything away from the Warriors today,.

The Dragons have lifted this year, not contenders but they’re a solid mid table team (like us really), not spoon contenders.

So possibly no Hiku/Pompey/Maulolo next week?

Damn... might have a thing back line.

45m first Warriors set.

42m for Dragons.

Set restart for Dragons inside the 10m

RTS with a gap in front of him stepped into a defender instead of accelerating into gap.

A solid 80m set with a poor kick for no result.

A set restart for Dragons and Hiku stayed down after tackle. Game stopped to take him from the field hold his arm, shoulder dislocation.

6 more gifted to Dragons for nothing, compared to what MM had in the ruck on him

Followed by shoulder charge by Evans.

Way to easy for Dragons first try, just done for numbers with Dufty chiming in scoring in the corner after 9 mins down Hiku's side. Gifted by the 6 again and penalty.

4-0

6 more for Warriors Dragons inside the 10m

Curran loses ball in play of the ball, but interference, quick tap, next play MM tackled without the ball as Nikorima running and taken by Sims.

Egan runs from dummy half and hit Harris who hits and spins to scores.

4-6

Confusion at kickoff, RTS could of taken ball out on full from kickoff but everyone in way, thrown out back. Lost ball next play but Dragons inside the 10m again.

Kodi running and getting nailed but kicks ingoal and Dufty bounces and and Turner forces it. Bunker reviewing. Kick it quick Kodi. Amazingly not taken off us.

4-12

6 more for Warriors.

6 more for Dragons, crowd getting into it.

Dragons lose ball before tackled on our 40m.

Scrappy end to set, ball going to ground, O'Sullivan looked to knock on, Egan chip thru goes dead. Dragons called knock on.

Challenged. No knock on by anyone.

7 tackle set.

Same Dragon lost the ball again on our 25m.

Dragons bomb knocked just before goal Line.

Bird run off the ball by Montoya.

Ravalawa had no room and Ken hit high up and cant move him.

We might learn that penalties inviting them to score points.

8-12

Norman kicks a 70. Kick dead.

Ken not going to well.

Dragons lose ball in tackle on their 40m

Egan jumping from dummy half catches Dragons not square and 6 again.

Turner throws in a grubber on 3rd tackle no one ready for and he tackled allowing Dragons to get out of trouble then crowd asked for 6 again offside and they get it.

Looking tired on our last set with 1min to go till halftime.

RTS with a great dummy half run, followed by a poor final tackle option.

RTS break, followed by grubber to Egan to force ball down on dead ball. Game of inces.

Egan needed to be faster or ball slower.

O'Sullivan knocks ball being passed in tackle, 6 more for Dragins. Followed by tackle restart to long on McGuire.

McCullough dives from Dummy half, called held up. Goes up no try.

Dragons knock on bomb, player before line ball goes toward the line. Getting challenged. Unsuccessful. Dodged one there.

Dufty gets away with poor play the ball putting it on RTS. Called back as he crawled forward into him. Simply bad play the ball.

Runny ball in last, Montoya get a kick to fade away forcing Dragons to force ball in goal.

Short dropout Dragons get back!!

Leg off ground not held anymore?

Dufty offloads when caught on last but no held call.

RTS break again, caught by shirt.

Poor last tackle kick by Nikorima.

RTS didn't reload like Papenhuysen did.

Dragons go 40m kick return. How Ravalawa not in touch off Curran tackle?

O'Sullivan kicks ball in tackle apparently. More possessions for Dragons.

Solid defense, Sims loses ball forward on last tackle cross kick.

Harris back of head bump with ground, stays down after tackle. Off for HIA. Best player on ground. With 20mins left to go, this is not a good sign!

MM offside from kick, can't help himself to play at a bouncing bomb. Penlised.

Where was RTS? grubber thru chased by Dufty and scores.

14-12

Dropped Bomb goes forward off Dragons to Bird. Not a peep.

Dufty crunched on inside play and loses ball.

O'Sullivan chip caught and Curran forced Lomax in goal.

Pompy gets the short dropout this time.

Great set play, RTS rushed up on by Bird and missed him, had to beat 2 more tacklers to score.

14-18 12mins to go.

Dragons knock on bomb, the accidental offside.

Taking the 2 from 35m out.

14-20 10 mins to go.

Harris back on for final 8mins.

Dragons throw ball out on final tackle under pressure.

Kodi runs and makes great meters but no on with him, throws a hail mary to no one and it goes back 20m, Turner runs it but no kick, ends up with O'Sullivan with space on his outside, grubbers thru, bounces highs Ravalawa counters Dufty knocks it on in a Ken tackle.

Play stopped by trainer for Pompey ankle, taken off field.

Rest for everyone.

1 Point time.

Bomb off Dragons to Dragon in front in goal completely missed. Or am I seeing things?

Then MM done for too long in tackle.

Then MM strips and loses ball.

Dragons force a dropout.

3mins left.

Great tackle by Nikorima.

Ken diffuses their bomb!

Jazz stripped on the ground with 2 in tackle. Dumb by dragons there.

1 min to go.

Wow.

Solid effort, awesome completion rate.

Where was that last week???

The 6th tackle option and kicks still need plenty of work done hitting RTS out the back worked a few times.

I didn’t see that coming. Great game against the inform Dragons. Forwards made great yards and our halves created chances.

I am still buzzing from that win. For me it was a must win match and we will be fighting a bit longer to play finals footy

Last weeks lost certainly made this week much more important, but with a couple of upsets this week the ladders looking a little less determined at this point.

We actually haven’t played any of the bottom 4 teams either, whereas Dragons and Titans who sit ahead of us have played a few of them, so we’re currently in an okay position moving forward, barring all our injuries

definitely possible esp. if the coach stops the loser attitude of starting the season with a overly conservative style

and later in the season when AFB comes back, and if CHT is back we could be giving it a good shake

What the last few weeks across the comp have shown me is that 'attitude' is the biggest factor in a team's success. More so than the roster or fancy game plans. The key of successful coaching is getting the troops fired up to grind out a win over 80 mins. The Panthers and the Storm are really the only two teams who turn up every week determined to win more than their opposition. St George have a pretty average roster but won four on the trot through attitude before we out-enthused them. We were out-enthused by Manly. Titans have a way better pack than Manly, but the Sea Eagles crushed them. Broncos pack were in a war with Penrith for a fair while before being over-run, but it was unexpectedly close. Ditto crappy Wests, a great effort against Souths. And so on.

If we bottled our St George effort and rolled that out every week we would make the top 4. Ultimately though no way we would beat Melbourne or Penrith in a final, and probably not Souths either, as that is when their rosters + effort would be beyond us. I could see us having a chance at upsetting Eels, Parra, Roosters, and Canberra though.

I would be shocked if Penrith or Melbourne don't win the comp this year. And I think it will be Penrith unless they lose either of their playmakers.
