Round 9, the pre-Magic Round!

What a game tonight, Rabbs v Melbourne, in some wet Sydney weather. Which suits the Storm, unfortunately. However, this game should show how serious the Bunnies are.

Friday, another biggie, but first it's Panthers v Sharks, in what should be Penrith's ninth-straight win. Then, the biggie, Eels v Roosters. Will the Chooks bounce back after their terrible news in regard to the career-ending injury to Brett Morris? Will the Eels show they can roll big sides consistently?

Saturday has a desperate Sticky with the Knights in front of him. That's no certainty in breaking the Raiders worrying losing streak. Another desperate coach, Madge, will want two-a-row to feel that much safer in his position but the Titans are in good attacking form. Then it's the Cowboys at home to the improved Broncos. You couldn't pick that one.

Sunday, at Brookie, surely lightning doesn't strike three times, in regard to DCE!!!!! winning it with a field-goal? Either way, it's great having the Warriors back playing in Manly-Warringah. There's always been lot's of Kiwis living there. I'm going! Athough, I now live miles away.

The round closes out with the all-Sydney Dragons v Bulldogs. Made for the Sunday arvo Sydney TV market of course. It's underwhelming this year though. I'd say St George will get back to winning ways. But I want the Dogs to win, as I feel sorry for them, and it's good for you-know-who on the ladder.

Enjoy, and let's hope there's some pre-Magic Round magic! Just not a DCE!!!!! field-goal at the death.

No dancing or singing please, or limited to 20 in the crowd at a time. Covids back, back again!

Qld getting an itchy finger to slam the border shut, in time for magic round.

There's certainty some bubble-trouble happening. We see how the Warriors should stay in NSW for the time being, rather than rush back to NZ. Also, all teams in Qld? What could go wrong?!

In other news, Hayne got five years and nine months jail for that sexual assault in 2018 on the night of the NRL GF.

Fox has a true hattrick in the first half plus a 4th and bunnies are shot!
Cook stripped by Munster with a Jujitsu throw lead to Hughes try.

Munster can't kick, otherwise Storm would be pushing 50, with half an hour to go!

As it is, it's 36-0, and Bellamy still looks nervous. This game might blow Souths out of the water as serious contenders. As you said, they look shot.

They are missing their 1st choice half and fullback.
They could still go ok.

Fox has 6, first in 71 years.
All be the last 2 looked off forwards passes.
50 and Bunnies done for the year, lend out your players.

How do we that try-scorer 71 years ago didn't benefit from a couple of dodgy passes too?.

No team has conceded fifty and gone on to win the premiership in the same season. Souths must be devastated.

i watched the replays. if you are talking about the final pass, then they were fine. The second one was marginal, flat at best but ive seen worse. Edrick Lee says Hi.

Melbourne just clinical. Bellamy showing how good a coach he is, even with all the big three now gone

Bennett had a similar approach to this game as did Nathan Brown - made some changes, tested the depth. Probably also like Brown, felt the result was a forgone conclusion, felt his team in current form would be up against it.
Bennett's is a player coach - he wont mind his players psychologically bottoming out after this loss, as he can now build them right back up again. This is how players learn. Self responsibility. Players have to own this 100%. He will somewhat leave it up to them to recover from this by way of learning from it.

Yeah I think so, lots of key players missing from Souths, and given their senior core and the old man in charge I don't think this plastering will be as fatal as it would have been to others

That's all true. But meanwhile, Bellamy just keeps his troops firing on all cylinders all year.

yeah, aside from the Manly Grand Final, it's hard to recall Melbourne being flogged, no matter who's missing - they are the epitome of professionalism, and of course cheating/pushing the boundaries
