Who said?!
Dolphins, Jets (Bombers before them), Firehawks. You'd imagine the NRL wants the best RL stadium used more than once a fortnight. Also, the QLD Government, there isn't a second stadium in Brisbane suitable for Brisbane 2 to play in and they certainly aren't building one any time soon.

Yep, it getting built how it was, when it was, was a blatant case of pork barrelling.

Again, not a knock on the Cowboys or Townsville, just being straight.

Who cares as long as RL is the beneficiary? Money will always be squandered by Govs. You can take that to the bank as being a truism as much as death and taxes is. At least we the people that love going to rectangular sporting events are now occasionally the beneficiaries.

Roosters average home crowd over the past 5 years = 13,655
Dragons average home crowd over the past 5 years = 10,637

Jeez, imagine if the Roosters were a also ran bottom of the table team for a couple of years? Probably average around 7-8K. What a terrible franchise and wasted licence, especially when you consider that they are the oldest uninterrupted franchise in the NRL.

Woeful for a club that bungs on about itself as a great and traditional club. You would think that with so much winning success that just by the mere fact that people love to bandwagon and follow a winner, that they would have been more popular just by default. Talk about not knowing how to expand the pie and just being a cancer on the teat of the game.

How the ARLC puts up with this is beyond me. Any strong business model would and should have mandatory KPI's that all its divisions should meet or be relocated or wound down one would think. So if very few people are buying your product, time to pull the pin from that market.

Don’t know where he got his crowd average from (unless that includes COVID season) as they got over 13k in 2016 only, the year we came second last. Since then, around 15.5k but their average in 2019 was 16,865. Not great but not bad considering not many like watching the game at the SCG. Would like to have seen what might‘ve been if their shiny new stadium was ready at the time.

Agree. You would think the most important KPI would be winning premierships. Perhaps at least during the past 35 years.
Especially if you club enjoys a huge (and unfair) advantage by virtue of being located in the enormous catchment area of western Sydney.

What so you mean by them not going ahead with ANZ they the Government stopped squandering money?

You my friend are an idiot. Pick any Government anywhere in the whole freakin world and you could find money being squandered guaranteed. It is just human nature to spend other peoples money much more easily then your own especially when you can use it to enhance your own career and or reelection.

Anyway, they simply swapped the ANZ money over to suburban builds instead. Hardly stopped the spending.

How old are you?

Storm should play all trails and the occasional game here if this eventuates. In the outer suburbs where most of the fans are.

And Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide has begun its upgrade in preparation for the 2023 Womans World Cup.
This is the type of suburban stadium we should be looking at in Sydney - with maybe a slightly higher capacity.
The upgraded stadium image file was too large to load but can be seen in the article link.

That's a nice rant and all but the problem you have is facts don't agree with you.

Let's look at the last period we were an also ran club as you put it. 2005-2012 we made the finals only twice (albeit one was a GF) with 3 bottom 4 finishes and a spoon. the lowest average in those years was 11952 (2007) and the average for that whole period was 14026.

The ARLC could implement any KPIs they want, I promise you the roosters would be nowhere close to the first club not to meet them.

Looks good. Such a shame they dropped the intimate mode out of the design. Didnt need to be be fancy LED curtain just a load of drop down blinds would have done.
