6 weeks for Milne, he won’t be getting selected for WC anymore you would think so that’s the first quarter of the season done for him.

Watching the second half hurt, especially when we should've gone into the break up at least 12-6. That try on the HT buzzer really took the wind out of our sails. We ambushed them early and made the most of our early fortune (the obstruction no try decision was wrong IMO but so was Penrith's opening try so swings and roundabouts) but eventually, once they got momentum we didn't have anyone capable of wrestling it back.

In the end, it was a great finish to a strong though inconsistent season that should set us up to compete in the coming seasons. A final 4 finish in a transition season is a great result.

At least you made a GF qualifier, boys. You would’ve taken it if offered mid year.

Both our clubs had similar seasons when you consider the losses they shouldn’t have had. Could’ve both made top four without them and remain fresher throughout the finals. We both lost to Saints ffs.

We had the panthers for 30 minutes and we looked good the panthers were still trying to get there timing right after having limited match play in the last five weeks but once they got there bearings right we ran out of steam injuries and fitness caught up how game and courageous Murray and arrow are we couldn’t stop them Penrith are truly a modern type footy side that are on top of there game they are enjoying the time in the limelight at the moment but everyone who follows league knows it doesn’t go on forever unless you were a dragon’s supporter from the sixties so enjoy your time and good luck next week the eels are not the tiered injured unit that the bunnies were last night.

You are absolutely correct!! That score at the half was absolutely IDIOTIC!!! Why in the heck are they passing out wide when they have owned the first half and they will lead at the break?? Its a killer then they REPEAT an unforced error in the first 5 minutes of the Second Half. Two unforced careless errors that cost 12 points!! NO Team can do this and expect to win. The great Bill Parcells always said NO TURNOVERS I don't care if we run the ball 2 yards each play. NO TURNOVERS!!!
It makes one wonder if its time to break up the group of Cook/Walker/Murray/Mitchell. They do not win anything!! Cook in particular seems to get lost in these contests I would risk Mamezoulos as starter and Taaffe off the bench. Why is Nikorima there in head bandages? Its a weak look against a team of thugs.

Let's face it. We have a squad capable of pulsating brilliance and will likely produce the greatest scorer in NRL history. If Johnston stays healthy he will steadily overtake those few remaining in front of him. That's remarkable, an astonishing feat, and testimony to the greatness of the team.
However the downside is its also an erratic, chaotic unit capable of breaking its own neck. To allow two scores from UNFORCED ERRORS WHILST IN POSSESSION just prior to and just after the Half is mind boggling. Its extreme carelessness which is to blame and its something that needs to addressed in the off-season. What also needs addressing are the roles of the two young bulls Moale and Suluka-Fifita. Why was at least one of these studs NOT on the bench? It made no sense putting Chee-Kam and Cartwright - neither of whom have played much - on the bench. I brought this up well before Game Day. Demetriou would probably now agree it was a flawed move which left the squad short of grunt. If both these youngsters have a strong off-season and rotate with Tom B [badly missed] and Tatola we have one of the most potent 8 & 10 of anyone.

Well spot

Well spotted. Parramatta are virtually full strength and really their pack is every bit as potent as Penrith even better. Parra need to BELIEVE they can torpedo them, they must BELIEVE it and say it out aloud. Do a Jimmy Johnson guarantee Victory because they have already sunk them TWICE and should have sunk them a year ago when completely robbed.
Penrith's tactics are very simple and robotic. They sweat on errors from the opponent based on continual pressure, mainly from towering punts by Iron Head. Even when he was out they STILL did this through Barry O'Sullivan and Co. We had the Westie Malakas down and almost out yet it was frittered away through absolutely idiotic errors and turnovers. And key absentees!!!
Arthur needs to state he is confident in PUBLIC it will instill the same confidence in his players. Just ask Jimmy Johnson when he faced the 49ers led by the legendary Steve Young & Jerry Rice who had just put 55 or so on NYG in their home playoff game. Johnson famously GUARANTEED victory in days leading up to the showdown to the astonishment of the Press. Half time in the Championship game: Dallas 28-7. It was done at the Half!!!
