ARCHER STOPS TRYING: Referee Tony Archer went to the video referee on any try that was even remotely questionable after he had a shocker in awarding the second try of the match to Warriors prop Richard Villasanti in Auckland last Saturday. Replays showed Villasanti didn't get near forcing the ball. Maybe Archer thought better of taking any more risks as NRL chief operating officer Graham Annesley was at the ground.
