I think Patea answered some questions for us in regards to the pack development. He has a lot left to prove but hes exactly the style of forward we need. While id love a similar love prospect for the edge if we can find one i dont think we are in desperate need with Martin, Garner Papalii and some solid edge prospects in the flegg side. I think we can afford to wait and see who keeps performing over the next couple months before making any rash recruitment decisions.

The 2 flegg boys are probably the most promising back rowers harry armstrong and zakuri Clarke.Armstrong is from the broncos he has been elevated to nsw cup last 2 weeks, and clarke is a former magpies junior both big powerful runners keep an eye out for these 2 in the next 12-18 months

I think he means the little brotherbTua Patea who is a centre playing in flegg and has been moved up through HM and SG ranks fairly quickly.

This is the kid with the longest first name ive ever seen, it gets shortened to to 'Tua' but its much longer

He any good?

I havent watched him but i can tell the club rates him as he is getting that treatment, fairly certain he moved up to Flegg from sg ball very quickly last year. I first noticed a few years ago in HM looking at team sheets only cause his name is that long. But yeah cant say ive seen much of him actually play,

WHISPERS: Panthers Assistant Coach Ben Gardiner is rumoured to be the number one target to take over as head coach for Super League side St Helens in the UK. Current Saints coach Paul Wellens is under increased pressure to keep his job after his side lost 17-4 to Leeds Rhinos last start.

At least its not another NRL club everytime an assistant goes to another nrl club we have lost key players, if he wants to go to UK good luck to him.

Sure but a lot of your best juniors come from local catchment's. So they would of been discovered regardless I think. Credit for guys like Kikua,Peachey
He also made some poor signings with some silly 5yr deals.
Whare,Roberts, Idris, Moylan,Bryce, Waqa, Rcg, Hiku, Merrin, Hardacker, and by memory he released Api Korisau after 12mths and I think Gus was analed before he re-signed.

I'd say Gus has great connections to get a few extra $$$ under the table.
I don't think he is a super judge of talent. I reckon a lot of times he goes off half cooked.
I recall him saying Burton was the best of the bunch. He isn't top 5.

On Gould he also needs to be removed from either the Dogs set up or the media. His influence is not only unprofessional its also unfair. He will continually talk up other clubs players value on purpose.
Yeo - I'd pay him 1.5mill.
Nathans - He worth 2 mill.

The reason he does this is he knows it will push up their values. It's embarrassing the NRL let it go. In the USA in NFL there is a similar situation with Brady. He is under strict conditions on what he can say.
Gould must chose one or other
I bulk of our talent came from Dubbo and surrounding area and where discovered by Jim jones the recruiting guru
