I just remember from the stories at the time it stemmed from Cronulla juniors earlier than that.

Regardless, I think that damning a bloke for life based on words said when they were 12, or 16 for that matter, is probably over the odds. It might be fair for Ricky to hold a grudge given who it allegedly related to, sure. But it's also over the odds to blow up in a presser about it a decade later imo.
I’m certainly not going to judge Sticky for holding a grudge. I can say if I was Sticky I would certainly hold it, considering there has never been an apology or acknowledgment that it was wrong from the Salmon family. I agree though Sticky shouldn’t have uttered those words in a presser, he’d obviously been stewing on it since it happened.

Anywho, it’s done. You would have thought that considering the age of the two men, they would have sat down & done what needed to be done. If I was Salmon, I certainly would have, just do it on the quiet. Meet the Stuart family, own your words & apologise. That puts it to bed instantly from that point on.

Wasn't Salmon 10 years old playing under 12s at the time? A 60 year old man who is mentoring young boys/men holding a grudge against a 10 year old boy.

Salmon has been tarred with a name from an unstable old prick that he is going to have to wear for life. Brandon Smith has mentioned on his podcast that people yell it out in public and you only have to look at this thread or any match day thread/social media for the taunting that Salmon cops. As such, Salmon is wearing it and owning it and throwing it back in Stuart's face. He has no obligation to sit with him.

A deep public apology from Stuart, Raiders, and the city of Canberra is owed towards Salmon and his family.
