Origin 3 was the highest rating Origin on Nine since Origin 1, 2016, and even with consolidation wont break the record from Origin 3, 2013 (4.194m) - last night was the highest rating Game III since Origin 3, 2013.

I believe its the first time ever that the Sydney audience has hit 1m on Nine in all three matches, combining for 3.115m (ave 1.038m). Record audience in Brisane last night (915k), I believe with an aggregate of 2.646m (ave 882k). Adelaide may have equaled its best audience at 118k, equalling the 118k that watched Origin 1, 2023 at Adelaide oval.

978k is a new record BVOD audience in Australia, beating all previous including the Matildas in that segment

Last night It was the number 1 program everywhere except Adelaide (again).

Great ratings, will be interesting to see if the NRL sell the broadcast rights seperate to the season.

Only negative is that it wasnt a great advert for our game.

QLD played 'high percentage footy ' 5 hit ups and a kick and NSW looked more clunky than the local suburban u12 team.

Brisbane 1/2 the population as Sydney and only 85k less. Is that accurate?
I thought the same, 1m to 915k when Sydney has twice the population isnt very impressive from that city. Or its incredibly impressive from Brisbane!

The 2025 Origin Series was the best rating series (aggregated averages) since 2014

When you consider the state of FTA now compared to 2014, this is an amazing result.

You just aren't going to get many FTA programs that average more than 1M these days let alone close to 4M
