You know what I for one , sick of the excuses , injuries , Refs bad calls , Bunker not on our side , bottom line is the team , coaching staff are not up with the the game ......... Over the years wrong coaches , wrong type of player signing , wrong young players let go ........ Need to make the right calls been like this for 15 years and nowhere near it ....... Anyway I hope one day we can be a top 4 team ...........
Not having a go at you about this but he lets in more than he scores- id rather try these 2 and hope they do a better defensive job than Sloan does. If that happens we’d be about 10 points further up the ladder. I can’t believe we just persist with selecting a guy who is clearly losing us matches. You cant practice defense in 1st grade- you can either do it or not and realistically one player has single handedly ruin our finals chances. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result- selecting Sloan is in this catagory
I’d suggest you take a look at all the tries scored in this round of NRL. Note how many are scored with the winger coming in from his wing and note how many times it wasn’t Sloan !
Twice against Rooster within 10 mins of each other….cost us the match, once against Bulldogs in last 2 minutes.. cost us the match…. 4 points on a platter and there goes any semi final hopes
I'm curious if the Senior Assistant Coach sits him down and addresses these defensive inadequacies.

I'm struggling with Flanno's constant miserable expression- even when we score a spectacular try, he remains sour faced. He's become a killjoy. I get that coaches are under pressure but Ryles still manages a celebratory smile and leap of joy when his lowly placed team scores.
He's not enjoying it because he is under the pressure and rightly so.

However, a lot of the tries he had scored would not have been by other wingers because of his pace. So we probably wouldn't be 10 points better.
