There it is!

India wins by 6 runs (their narrowest winning margin (by runs) in test cricket). Not often do you get tests decided by <20 runs or 1-2 wickets in hand, so great to watch another close one live on tv.

On a side note, where the hell was that yorker earlier? I honestly can't believe Siraj waited so long to bowl one to Atkinson, given the way Atkinson kept swinging the bat across the line of the ball.

f**k yeah Siraj, I’d gladly give Sir Trav a send off after that performance.

I thought after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy that India have the makings of a very good side. This series they’ve built a little more. They’re going to be very strong going forward. Gil has really stepped up without Kholi around. Definitely will be contenders for this WTC cycle.

Poms lost their last 7/66

Id say thats a choke
100% agree with you.

That's the beauty about test cricket. 73 runs to get with 7 wickets in hand, 195 run partnership with both batsmen on centuries...at that moment, England were definitely the short-priced favourite to chase down 374, but then one wicket completely changed the entire momentum and flow of the innings.

Root getting out just before stumps yesterday was also vital. Starting off the day with two relatively inexperienced batsmen to a hooping ball in overcast conditions was going to be tough.

Well, in terms of the WTC table, that 2-all series result is great for Australia. Realistically, India should've won 3-1 (they blew it at Lord's, chasing only 193).

I'd really love to see the Aussies win the Ashes 5-0 (they were just one wicket away from the whitewash in 2021/22).

Need as much of a buffer over the other teams as possible, given two difficult away tours (vs South Africa and India) are still to come over the next 18 months. Need to win as many of the home tests as possible.

Kohli was already on his last legs well before he came to Australia. It's just that crap bowling from the Aussies during the second innings at Perth fooled the likes of Mark Howard (and all the other Aussie sycophants in the media who love kissing up to India) into believing that the Kohli of old had returned.

However, he only scored 85 runs @ 12.14 during the remaining 4 tests of the series

He knew he was done and dusted, hence fell on the sword and retired before the tour of England.
