Obviously sees his oath to first grade easier at canberra

Well he potentially could out train/play and get a first grade spot this season. Either player who gets that spot in first grade is going to have a big learning curve and opportunities to cement that position as there own. I don't think either is a lock knowing Stuart. He was never kind to his halfbacks and thinks they all should be able to do as he did on the field.

Some players just don’t fit some clubs unfortunately.
Sure but he was much the same at the Bulldogs too. At a certain point you cant keep making excuses for the player and need to lay some accountability at their feet.

Jack from all reports is a great athlete but appears to have a very average footy IQ (and normal IQ for that matter). If he was fair dinkum about reaching his potential as a good front rower he'd have shown it by now

I’ve said before that Hetherington could do well in the right system.
He’s big, hard as nails, very quick for his size, good engine…. Just dumb, dumb, DUMB….
I could see a world where he becomes a beast at the Storm, then signs for the Dragons or Tigers on a fortune and returns to his dumbass ways.
He originally came from the best system in the sport....

The Sydney Roosters are set to strike another significant blow in the player market after Manly outside back Reuben Garrick informed the Sea Eagles that he would leave the club at the end of the next season.

It is understood that Manly were told on Thursday morning that Garrick intended to take up a deal at one of their rivals at the end of next season - he is tipped to join former teammate Daly Cherry-Evans at the Roosters on a two year deal from 2027.

The versatile outside back rejected Manly’s two year contract extension worth about $550k a season.

The Dragons were also keen on luring the Illawarra product back to the club.

However he will follow the path of Cherry-Evans, who quit the Sea Eagles at the end of the season to take up a one year deal at the Roosters.

The Roosters are planning for the departure of Mark Nawaqanitawase and the potential retirement of Daniel Tupou.

Another ex-Sea Eagle in Tommy Talau will formally join the Roosters on a one year deal in December

Garrick was seen playing golf with new Manly captain Tom Trbojevic on Thursday morning. The pair were joined by Kieran Foran and Lachie Croker.

Garrick is third top point scorer in Manly history with 1,340 points. Barring injury he will go past Jamie Lyon in 2026 and will finish his career at the Sea Eagles behind only Graham Eadie.

Reason for the Garrick link is that he's supposed to be a good friend of DCE's. That's been mentioned in various media reports over the last 4-6 weeks at least.
