lol you are f**king cooked merkin. Amazing how the Tigers front office have never made a mistake, be it in coaching appointments or roster management. Imagine how many spoons they’d have won with an incompetent set-up.

You should call yourself the Concord Throw (or the Campbelltown Throw or the Leichhardt Throw or the Parramatta Throw or wherever else your club calls its home).
Mate where have I ever said anything about our management? Our front office was totally and unbelievably incompetent and we deserved every spoon we got and every spoon was directly the result of incompetent management. Then we sacked our board and the new board sacked Pascoe and Lee and appointed Richo. Every step since has been a win.

But when old mate starts counting ben Gardner as first grade coach of the Tigers, that level of stupidity/trolling has to be called out.

That's our points conceded only since we started playing for points, so it was only from round ten, which was 15 games.

For the first 9 games, with our illegal TPA squad, we conceded 13.2 point per game. For the remaining 15 games, without a bunch of quality players, we conceded 21.6. Small samples, but it does support the importance of good players over coaching. We see this in the performance of Cleary (Wests then Penrith), Maguire (Souths then Wests then Brisbane) and Stuart (Easts then Parra).

As for our 'illegally assembled team', was it better than every other club's squad? Or was it just equal to the clubs that manage to keep a great squad together year after year? Why is it illegal for Parra to have such a squad and not illegal for Brisbane, Melbourne, Penrith and Easts? The difference is likely just that we have backstabbers throughout our club. So we can't bypass the salary cap rules without whistleblowers throwing us under the bus for their own benefit.
Right you are. Did seem a tad low

A. It’s only been one year, and that also goes in relation to next point.
B. Last season we conceded 578 points. In 2023 we conceded 574, in 2022 we conceded 489, in 2021 it was 457, 2020 (4 less games it was 288. Even going back to the shithouse 2018, we conceded 550.

I don’t want to sound like BApoulogist, and obviously I left out 2024 (716 points and BA rightly sacked for it) but let’s not convince ourselves Ryles has magically made us a defensive juggernaut.

A better way to look at Ryles first season is to compare the start to the end of the season..

We went from 25.5 PPG for the first 12 games to 22 PPG for the last 12 under Ryles.

If you guys can’t see the improvements in our defensive movements, systems and work rate I don’t know what to tell you . 94 of our points conceded came in the first 2 weeks I think the 2nd half of the season will paint a different picture.
We were atrocious in 2025. Of course we were going to improve massively in 2026. Just like we improved massively in 2014 and 2019 compared to the years before. I know you want to be excited about the future, but you don't have to shit on the past to do so.

It is on the scheme of things.

BA's biggest problem was he never realised that you needed to be one of the top 4 defensive sides of you want to win the competition
I'm sure he did, but by the time we built a top four defensive side the NRL changed the ruck, and we were left behind with a leadership group that didn't suit the new rules.

Think about it for a second. You, a nobody sitting at home, knows the secrets of rugby league success, while an experienced head coach doesn't?

Yeah I agree and it is good to see that he was able to implement those improvements with the squad he largely has for next year.
And I agree with improving the mobility in middle and patience on edges. But let’s not take this all as guaranteed fix from prior years (I believe philosophically Ryles doesn’t)
