This is so dumb. You've gone over every club and offered their biggest stars massive overs.. then turn to those same clubs and ask for salary cap concessions?
Clubs must be thinking " is this guy for real?"

Time to ask for those concessions was before you tried to pillage their stars..

It won't work anyway, you can't be asking for any more than the Warriors get.
dont think ya read the article but ok gobby, number 1 bears negative man for whatever reason

Richardson doesnt seem to have a problem with PNG getting a 30% bigger salary cap and free accomodation, food and extras for Chiefs players?
you’d think after making a massive balls up of Gateshead he’d have a bit more empathy for a new start up!

Whatever reason?
Recruitment has been a disaster.
The only noise coming out of Perth is when they want to pillage other clubs talent.
Perth were brought in to add something.
They really lost me when they went so hard for J Cambell, he's father was a star for the Titans, now he's playing great, not only does he bring a true homegrown feel to the Titans, he has the ability to finally bring success to the struggling club. If they got him, it would have been not only a blow to the Titans but the sport in general and a leg up to the AFL.
Mal has no morals in recruitment, when he was QLD coach he was always putting pressure on Islander boys to turn their back on their country and play for QLD, luckily they made it so they can represent both. Then when he was the roos coach, did the same thing, put Ponga through it when he knew he wants to play for the Kiwis.

He has no moral standard and shows f**k all abilities to recognize talent outside of who's obvious.

I really want Perth to do well but so far it's the worst start anyone could hope for, the worst.
I'm disappointed and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Now the papers are onto it( a little late).

How much will it take for people on here to admit that it's a shit sandwich? And it all rests on Mal
And most agreed it wasn't the best fit for the role.

The Brisbane Tigers are officially announcing a landmark affiliation partnership with the Perth Bears, the NRL’s newly appointed 18th team set to commence in the 2027 season.

This historic alliance marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for the Tigers, strengthening the club’s legacy as one of Queensland’s premier development systems and establishing a direct pathway from the state’s southeast to the national stage in the nations southwest.

Brisbane Tigers CEO Mitch Cook said the partnership represents a milestone moment for both clubs and for rugby league across Australia.

“This partnership with the Perth Bears marks an exciting new era for our pathway and for rugby league development across both regions. Over the next three years, our collaboration will provide young players from Western Australia and Queensland with an unprecedented opportunity to progress through a unified system built on shared values, professionalism, and success.

I would like to thank Perth Bears CEO Anthony De Ceglie, General Manager of Football David Sharpe, and Head Coach Mal Meninga for their collaboration and professionalism in establishing this partnership. Their vision and commitment have been instrumental in aligning both clubs toward a shared goal of strengthening the game and creating genuine opportunities for players, coaches, and communities.

Together, the Tigers and the Bears are committed to building a sustainable talent pathway that supports the next generation of elite athletes and continues to grow rugby league across Australia.”

Perth Bears CEO Anthony De Ceglie said he was thrilled with the outcome and thanked the Brisbane Tigers and its CEO Mitch Cook for their hard work to help make it happen.

“Partnering with a club that carries a legacy as significant and respected as the Brisbane Tigers is an honour,” he said.

“Having a strong pathways partner from Queensland that offers talented kids a career in the NRL via the Perth Bears is tremendous for the growth of the game.

“The Perth Bears want to be more than just competitive from Round One in 2027. This landmark partnership is an important cornerstone to ensuring our success on the field.

The Perth Bears’ entry into the NRL has been met with widespread anticipation, marking the code’s long-awaited return to Western Australia. For the Brisbane Tigers, the new affiliation represents not just the next step after a successful 15-year partnership with the Melbourne Storm, but a renewed commitment to developing elite talent for the national stage.

With both clubs aligned in vision and purpose, the new partnership sets the foundation for a future focused pathway that will benefit players, coaches, and communities across two states. As preparations build toward the Bears’ inaugural 2027 season, the Tigers remain committed to continue producing NRL-ready athletes.

They can’t turn back the clock now… so full steam ahead …

We just saw that the Dolphins struggled for big names and that was with Bennett

They need to bet on signing the next tier down and getting that right like the Dolphins did

I've been saying that for weeks.
If they went hard for Wishart first and put him on a pedestal, they'd have him by now. Should have thrown the house at Pezet.
Could have done a deal to get Brimson.
And most certainly signed a half dozen fringe back rows and centers..

Like a spoilt brat, they demanded only the best.

I wonder if KP ( grew up in Perth) was off the menu after Mal put him through the Kangaroos selection debacle?

I really get a sense that Mals intimidating style doesn't wash with this generation. All the good coaches now show a softer side, not sure if Mal has it.

Great poster, great content and I'm a fan but the reality is, the only information you'll get from him is from a perspective of someone clearly being paid by the organization.
Obviously there's been plenty of hurdles and deadlines missed, they're clearly falling behind on their own goals..
Funny how he has no inside information on any that may be going wrong..

Maybe you should try to be a little more objective.

@Red&BlackBear cob on the cash again
It was a good morning.

This was happening co-currently with Ben Morton and some board members in Sydney for a corporate business breakfast event held by Norths.

There’s alot happening behind the scenes. Much of it I haven’t disclosed on here because it’s currently in-house.

I know some forum members are “concerned” or have this current negative mind set - fed from media (who just don’t know what’s going on) but lads you need to chill out and let the process unfold.

Between people thinking I’m paid by the Bears and paid by QRL - I must be raking it in from rugby league.

I’m not paid by either.

If by insinuating I have no inside information on what’s potential going wrong - that’s incorrect. A couple of workstations for their Head Office in Perth are delayed. They’ll need to use normal tables for now..

Why are you trying to stifle debate ?

It’s not all peachy they just missed out on Campbell by paying overs

The same issues were being discussed about the dolphins and they had a far strong squad at this time

Ahh I see.
That's what's going wrong! Players are bought in to be sold the dream and handed a contract on fold up plastic table from Bunnings!
Get it sorted!

Strange isn't it. Dolphins copped it when they had signed more players and the head coach was the most successful in the games history..
But everyone is comfortable with the situation in Perth.. we've had our daily " trust us bro" now move on lol

Not the same person hmm
Is it because we agree on things?
Maybe find the section that goes for about a year us arguing over PNG lol..
Don't know what the motive is for that conspiracy?
If we were the same person, that's some next level split personality shit lol
