Speaking of loan players.. man I liked Jack Heatherington back in those days. He was a loose cannon but my word he could play. He hasn't been the same since he reined in the crazy though.

Thoughts after Panthers trial last night:

Toby Crosby is still a long way off FG imo - while he made a lot of tackles (25 without a miss according to nrl.com) he struggled laterally on D and was pretty ineffective offensively

Kalani Going will be good FG depth for them

Patrick Moimoi has stuff to work on defensively but good on attack - would've been nice to still have him as center depth

Going is definitely the closest to FG out of that 3.

Moi moi and crosby will be good for their cup side but I reckon going gets a spot on their bench for FG

Shaun Johnson Joins Sky Sport’s NRL coverage for 2026 season​



Shaun Johnson will join Sky Sport’s NRL coverage full-time this season, headlining the broadcaster’s rugby league team and returning for a second season of Ford League Lounge with Shaun Johnson.
Johnson will be part of Sky’s wraparound coverage for home New Zealand Warriors matches, alongside presenter Laura McGoldrick, who will lead coverage. Programming will include pre-match shows, half-time analysis and post-match wrap-ups with interviews and expert commentary. Tia McDougall will support the presenting team.
Beaven Dewar has been appointed main caller for Warriors home games, joined by Willie Poching, Monty Betham, Ritchie Barnett and Honey Hireme-Smiler.
The NRL season opens with the Vegas Round on March 1, featuring Knights v Cowboys and Bulldogs v Dragons. The Warriors begin their campaign at home at Go Media Stadium against the Roosters on March 6 at 8pm.

Setu Tu looks to be debuting for Drags in Vegas. Will be interesting to see how he goes, as he never came close to getting a FG debut here
