This really gives me the pip!

Sky TV is increasing the price of its Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now packages again.
The Sky Sport price will lift from $47 to $52 a month, a roughly 10 percent increase.
Last March, Sky put up its price by 12 percent, from $42 to $47.
In February 2024, it rose from $37.99 to $42.
Sky said Sky Sport Now customers' monthly pass would increase from $54.99 to $59.99, while the premium monthly price increased from $59.99 to $64.99

I don't watch anything other than one warriors game a week. Don't watch Rugby, don't watch those shit American sports. Sometimes I might watch one of the Matty Johns shows every week or two. So this increase is an absolute ripoff. I have reached my "elasticity of demand" limit! I already cancel my monthly restart to day I sign on to reduce the number of times through the year I need review. Hows everyone else feel? I think there needs to be a mass boycott organized!

Yeh it sux. But they know if they parcelled it into a league pass they would lose money. Plus league has probably never been more popular with Union dying a slow agonizing death if the rules stay as they are.

I'm in a similar boat in Oz with Kayo. Used to share with a mate but they've just cracked down on it. I have Stan for the rugby so that's $40, and if I want Kayo (I'm an only really watch the Warriors and then highlights for the rest and none of their other sports) it will be $30 but no 4K, that starts at $45.

I was hoping that CH9 might have a decent number of Warriors matches FTA but nope, just two.

They have a deal running at the moment until Saturday 28th, you can get Sports, Movies, Starter pack and Entertainment pack for $80 a month for 12 months, only $28 a month more than Sky Sport alone. My Sky box is extra.

SKY are getting the cricket back, so that's a plus. I watch All Blacks games sometimes, and as many NRL games as I can, plus golf majors, so that's a win. Not sure if the Commonwealths are on SKY this year, as well?

Oh and I use my father in law's Sky Go so I don't pay a decent, it should be pointed out.

Yep. I'm feeling that.
Typically I'd shared a premium sub with my mate, but he feels priced out.
Going to settle on the standard sub ($30). I believe it's Full HD, but not 4K which I'm not overly fussed about to be completely honest.

The good thing for me is I've adopted the AFL culture (I know, feel free to judge) so there's PLENTY to watch.
Ooh, and the cricket too!

For my fellow Australian based kiwis/warriors fans, I've noticed alot of NRL clubs have digital memberships, which can bring down the monthly fee on Kayo to $23 (Roosters, Storm for example) however you get locked in for 12 months.

I tried to see if the Warriors have one (as typically you get a discount on merch too) but all I could find was an expired OzBargains link. Which is a shame, cause theres no way that I'd sign up to another club!
