Probably a question for our resident pom @Perth Red - assuming St Helens go in 2027, who would be best to go with them to maximise the 2027 crowd vs. who do we carry over to 2028 to maximise that crowd? Does FC have the crowd pulling/ travel crowd that KR do?

I haven't been keeping as close a track on it this year. But my guess would be trying to funnel sales into the bottom tier to fill it up. I think they managed to sell a decent amount in level 3 - especially compared to year 1. Hull KR got through a large portion of their allocated level 3 area - happened pretty close to when tickets went on sale. I would go camera arc side of level 3 will be 70% full, non camera arc side - 30%.
If the bottom tier is basically full why would they want it jam packed, even 80-90 %full it`ll look full, wouldn`t they be better to start getting tier three looking fuller.
Only logical reason I can think of is that tier 1 are more expensive. are they ?

Should be Manchester or Everton

Close to the fan base
Like Vegas??

It's not about being close to the fan base, it's about actually being away from the fan base. Encourage fans to travel and put money into the economy plus encourage non fans to attend.

I'd like to see Stade de France, the Super league game having one of the French teams at a minimum. Probably save French derby games as stand alone events later in the season.

I’d like to see Storm going next year I reckon they’ll get a tonne of dual afl/nrl following melbournians going that have been watching the Vegas openers with envy the past few years. It will also generate a massive viewership in Victoria for that game and help to further propel interest in the game in Victoria.

Next year I could see:
Titans v Tigers
Storm v Parra
St Helens vs Hull FC
The more I think about this, the more I like it.
If the Storm ran a public marketing campaign aimed at fumbles followers or casuals encouraging them to get behind their State`s team in Vegas, emphasising that rather than the NRL thing( certainly have the latter in the background), and showed lots of the madness that is going on over there that might get a few thousand cashed-up Melbournians/Mexicans to go over purely to be part of it. Melbourne is a big and wealthy city.

Sts v HFC would be the obvious line up for max fan attendance.
Fc probably won’t bring the 6k they reckon rovers have here, we are riding the crest of a wave at moment, but they’d be the next biggest fanbase after St’s.

Fan fest was pretty epic. Great atmosphere, rugby league family having a great time together. The Rovers fans got to sing a long with Andy Bell from Erasure for first time since adopting the song in 2015. Only hiccup was the magician, he went down like a led balloon with Sam Thaiday! The English fans let him know it too lol. Jim Jeffries coming on and giving a shout out to Perth Bears was cool.

sore throat, and sore head in the morning. Do it all again tomorrow at the HKR fans party!

Next year’s 4 teams …( only 5 to choose from )…

I think the Storm are absolute certainties next year … they pushed hard this time …and I’m sure they were told they would definitely go the next time …

Looks like strong rumours about the Dolphins being green lighted as hinted at today

It was reported that there are Tigers officials over there now “checking things out “… don’t know if the others are doing this also ? With Leichhardt Oval being out of commission next year … they probably won’t mind giving up a home game ..

Haven’t heard anything about the other 2… I would probably lean Parra given they have always had at least 2 Sydney teams … so might be Titans in 2028…

I’ll guess Parra V Dolphins and Tigers v Storm next season…

I`d go Parra vs. Storm, big Sydney club, (Melbourne vs. Sydney thing) both been performing well and a bit of a rivalry, prob then Tits vs Dolphins get the QLD crowd out.
No Tigers, have underperformed for too long, can prove themselves this year for next.

Historically, Hull FC are a bigger supported club than Hull KR. They got over 16,500 for their opening round game in SL. Hull KR now fill their 12,000 stadium regularly following recent success and are on the rise.

My guess is Hull FC would easily bring the same number of supporters as Hull KR.

Parra is going to get tired getting lapped by the Storm Round 1 then … that will be three years in a row ..

They already have 2 QLD teams going … Dolphins and Storm … they won’t make it 3..

Rumoured that Hull FC have pulled out of the running. Some say it’s the loss of a home game, some say they aren’t ready and some say they think it costs too much. I’ve heard all 3 rumours but the constant seems to be that Hull won’t be there in 2027. Leigh are allegedly the next in line to appear. Their owner was in Vegas last year and has seen it first hand and from a visual point of view, his general tackiness and gawdy in your face nature will go down well in Vegas.

Titans CEO said on SENQ they are pushing to go next year, but would want to be an away team. They didn't want to give away any more home games, currently at 1 to Magic Round.

My guess for 2027 - Melbourne, Redcliffe, Parramatta, Gold Coast.

Wests Tigers to get round 1 bye thanks to AI.
