London Broncos v Wigan and Brisbane v someone in a double/triple header at Tottenham or the Emirates and a triple header of Catalans v Hull KR, Toulouse v Bradford and Dragons v someone in Paris please and thanks with a game in Vegas as well, which St Helens and Leigh are allegedly in the hot seat for.

Roosters can play in france

There’s a chance we have 15 teams in Super League in 2027, so someone will miss out on round one and you have to wonder what will become of the other 3-4 games that haven’t been taken to neutral venues.

If you have:

London v Wigan - London
Catalans v Hull KR - Paris
Toulouse v Bradford - Paris
St Helens v Leigh - Vegas

You then have Cas, Hull, Huddersfield, Warrington, York, Leeds and Wakefield left. What do you do with them? Just have them play as normal and who misses out?

He's right about SL needing an independent commission.

The self serving clubs have been running the comp into the ground for over a century.

The clubs voting out Toronto is the perfect example of that.
He sells it perfectly too.
The English clubs owners pump heaps of cash into staying afloat..
PVL.. we'll run it well so you don't have to put any money in...

My only fear is that the English clubs will literally be too stupid to see and agree to that basic logic.

There's some clubs though I'm sure will fear they be on the chopping block once an independent commission sees just how detrimental they are to the League moving forward.
Huddersfield
Castleford
Liegh
Wakefield

Although I'm not a fan of mergers, what happened after SL was a drawing a line in the sand on minimum criteria for participation and it will be the first goal of the new commission.
Proximity to other clubs
Population base
Ratings
Stadium infrastructure ect

Fixing the calendar, making the season shorter, better pitch quality ect.
It's part of IMG ratings but all of that needs to be ratcheted up.
Once they've established this base, create a clear growth strategy. The NRL will help that directly and are already talking about taking NRL games to London, which will boost the sports profile in Englands biggest city by far- if SL ever cut through in London, it's a game changer for ratings and revenue.

Entirely fair of the clubs here who want to see a business plan ahead of deciding to hand the sport over completely. It’s all a bit baseless and a repeat of what PVL has said many times before but without the details, it should be almost impossible to vote on, though voting without details is very much a Super League thing.

I

Halifax, Oldham, Salford and Featherstone are going to look over the business plan lol

I’m sure they will see something, not that it matters, the pub teams aren’t going to vote away themselves so it’s never going to get up. I don’t think they hold the cards they think they do, the NRL aren’t sweating over a decision, they don’t need SL & can wait it out until they have no other option but to agree to the NRL.
