Great to get a win. Our spine looked pretty good. Cowboys aren't exactly noted strong defenders though. Keen to see how we stack up against better sides. We have another very winnable game next week against Manly.

Refreshing. Wasn't a whole lot of structure with the ball but at least they were doing stuff lightning quick.

Goal line defence good, cows only scored from a circus pass, Sharpe being crippled and an obstruction. Did give up plenty of metres though.

Turns out you don't need middle forwards if all your backs (including your 7) run for at least 100m

My apologies to the rest of the thread for biting on Druss’s stupidity and attention seeking and derailing the thread a little when I should have ignored it like the rest of you my bad

What’s the timeframe on a return for a pcl?
Depends on the damage, can be as little as a 2-3 weeks or up to a few months. Rarely longer than that unless it's really, really bad.

Usually a substantially better prognosis than doing an ACL though.

edit - just realised alex already answered this almost word for word the same. derp.

Good win. Great to see us attack for us. Was worried we would be lost without a controlling player in 9 but the other 3 were so slick and working seamlessly together. Probably better having Crossland in the 9 now keeping it simple and just doing the dirty work in the middle.

Hope Sharpe is only out a couple of weeks.

Well done our middles. Need them all the play every week. Frizz off the bench was a good call. Croker was fantastic. Long minutes and held the middle together well. Cant looked decent off the bench in small minutes.

Very happy with the win. Happy we are challenging kicks, looking for offloads and actually switching directions in attack for once. Defense looked just as good as it was last year. Happy days~

Honestly I think one of the big stories of the day is that the coach had a 10/10 performance. He picked the right team, had them playing the right way and got them up for the occasion. Really, really good start from Holbrook - I can't fault much at all today from a coaching perspective. He nailed it under quite unorthodox conditions with the Vegas trip and the hype. Great start. It'll be a huge confidence boost to the playing group and hopefully drive even more buy-in from them.

I think it's unfortunate the boys now have 2 weeks to sit and think about it. Would really love another game next week to take advantage of the momentum

Oh well, guess it gives Fletch an extra week to recover

So who is still keen to get rid of KP? He was the heart of that performance in every sense.
I’m pretty sure 99% of the ditch KP brigade are the mentally handicapped types on Facebook.

He can’t play injured but is still the most talented player in the comp at his best.

We lose that game by 40 last year after Shapre’s injury and their 2 first tries. Already shown a lot of improvement and there’s plenty more to improve on. We’ve got enough class in our 17 to have a good year. Depth is the biggest concern.

Geez it's good to be back, and after a win!

I didn't get to watch the game as intently I wanted, but there's a few things to note;

1. Gagai is aging like wine
2. Our full strength spine is worthy of being excited about, let's hope they stay healthy once Sharpe returns
3. Just the style of football we played, seemed to play more expansive and to our strengths
4. We seem fit
5. 20 mins before halftime had a feeling of "here we go again", but we kept fighting.
6. KP finally looked like a leader
