Did the NRL sign off on the contract Lomax signed stating he won't play for another nrl side until 2029?

If they did then also signed off on the contract from the Storm for Lomax seems like they dont have any regard for a contract.

While PVL and the NRL executive have done fantastic commercially for the game, and people can have their own opinion of whether the game is better now or when they grew up watching it, it just seems the difference between the haves and have nots is widening, standard of refereeing is getting worse, more bias towards favoured clubs and players, and it doesn't seem they want to address these fundamentals and are resting on their laurels that more people are watching and game is financially strong.

As a Manchester United supporter I recall Ed Woodward who was Vice Chair saying doesn't matter where United finish, we will always make money. Seems the NRL has the same attitude and must be careful as United have been rubbish the last decade the way they have been run.

PVL has been great for the game its now he needs to start using that cash to make the officials better..

Agree on the Bias you can even see it from yesterday's game. Atikins first thought when the dogs lost the ball was penalty.. Next time it happens watch him call a knock on if its a bottom of the ladder team.

On the Storm PVL brings up being Sued by Tripp to hide the fact he isn't playing favourites they want the Storm to be strong to piss off the AFL down there.. The NRL will never admit it though.

Unless they come to the party with agreement from a good player they are willing to move to us, I don’t really see what else they could offer other than a bit more money. Are they going to forfeit their games to us?

The Eels have knocked back offers of $100,000, $200,000, and $300,000, which included a $211,000 salary cap component to subsidise the wage of Ryan Matterson. The out-of-favour forward has inadvertently become collateral damage at a time when his own future is clouded after again suffering concussion-type symptoms.

Their MAX offer is giving us a measley $211,000 towards our cap space. Let that sink in. For a current NSW and Australian winger in his prime. Screw the argument of "getting something is better than nothing."

Please!

I'd much rather lose in court and get nothing that receive a pathetic donation that leaves us in a crap position.
