LOL

Most probably because it's a nothing game any year and it was on the eve of the World Cup ... Fremantle flogged Collingwood.

Not quite flogged, but anyway the Dockers won by about two or three goals.

Neither side brought their regular side though.

The London games aren't really exhibition so much as end of year piss-up, it's generally accepted that the players are usually as hung over as the crowd....... And the crowd are generally blind. They get about 10-15,000 there usually, including a big expat Aussie contingent who set up bbqs, get drunk, charge onto the field, nick the goal posts, then go back to bwing dishpigs in random London pubs.

Still, if you're ever in London when it's on, it's worth going along. They don't really advertise it much, but the Aussies all know about it.

Whats the point of playing an afl game there. Why not play somewhere like North Queensland, Newcastle or Tasmania. where the are no AFL teams and where people know at least a bit about AR.

Tasmania is a football state and hosts regular AFL games .
Wizard cup games are getting more regular in Cairns .
Newcastle is a good idea .
The London games are a long story ,but nowadays they do promote the British AFL ,though the USA or Canada would draw much bigger crowds .The why not promote the Danish or German leagues ?

Any win by any team against the Pies is a flogging :)

Bring on Round 1 :)

Bring it on indeed.

Richmond will win the spoon next year.

Ben Marsh, Simon Fletcher, Shane Morrison.....great pick-ups!

Nathan Brown to play in back to back spoon sides.

What's the point of promoting leagues overseas? Why not promote the AFL in places around Aus. where there isn't a team, like I said. Places like Tas, NT, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Canberra, Central Coast or N.QLD might eventually have a team.
