Well i was watching the game and the more we didnt get that 3rd goal the more i thought something was gonna happen, and what a shame that it did. Clichy, i have no idea why you were being so casual and laid back and didnt play with urgency, stupid play and we also missed a few chances to finish the game off, 2 points dropped and we may regret it.

On the Eduardo tackle, simply disgusting, you could tell it was something bad when they didnt show a replay and the look on the players faces and that photo before shows why, hope he gets better asap.

But to end on a positive it was good to see Walcott do well and score a couple and lets hope that this gives him a boost and we start to see more of what he can do.

Also, is anyone else thinking at times that we just gotta pull the trigger instead of going for that "perfect" goal. Last night, there were a few chances where we could of just had a crack but looked to give that extra pass, it gets frustrating and i wish sometimes they would just shoot.

To be honest, his studs have hit Eduardo at about the height of the ball...if that challenge had been a split second better timed it was a great tackle.

Absolutely shocking injury but to call for Taylor to be banned for life over a mistake is just silly. Knowing what he's done will haunt him enough, as will the 10 or so games banning he will get.

I think AW was just frustrated in saying he should never play again, you could jst tell how serious it was with the players reactions in particular Fabregas when the ref was giving Taylor the red.

Nasty, definitely a red, his career could be over after that. Hope he recovers.

It's ok mate, I wouldn't expect you to understand that players are human too.

Nor would I expect sportsmanship and maturity from an Arsenal player, or rationality from their fans.

By the way, 1 - 5 to us. :D

Feel bad for Eduardo, but f**k me some of the reactions on here are amazing.

Banned for life? Please. The consequences of the tackle were bad, but I have seen far, far worse.

Life's too much.

But you just feel at times that if something like that has the potential to ruin a players career it should surely have the potential to destroy the tacklers career.

But no, life is too much. But a serious ban needs to be enforced nonetheless.

Should be banned until Eduardo gets back on the park, FMD that could end a career or ruin it, he may never be the same.

Yeah well of course I was going to say that... and that was a career ending tackle. That only resulted in a 150 000 pound fine and five weeks for a deliberate sidekick at a player's knee.

Michael Essien on Did Hamann in the Champs League I remember was one that really could have ended in a broken leg, it was heinous.

Schumacher's was bad, and that wasn't even a foul.

Wenger's View

'The first diagnosis is very, very bad'

On the tackle on Eduardo...
"The injury is the result of a very bad tackle. The first diagnosis we have of the injury is very, very bad. I would not like to go into medical details because I am not qualified enough but the first news is very bad. He is in hospital."
On it possibly ending his career...
"I don't know. I would not go as far as that but it does not look good."
On other issues in the game...
"It was never a free-kick on the first goal and it was not a penalty. Five minutes before that it was a 100 per cent penalty on Adebayor. But we have to take it, we cannot change it and we have to look at ourselves as well. We have to fight against all that. We should have killed the game off earlier and scored the third. That is why with any little mistake you are caught."
On Eduardo's injury affecting the team in the first half...
"Yes 100 per cent. You could see that straight away it had a big effect."
On his half-time team-talk...
"We wanted to play football and the game what we wanted to play. We did that quite well."

Eduardo da Silva could have lost his left foot had medical staff not been so prompt in treating his horrific leg break, according to a specialist.
The Arsenal striker is recovering from emergency surgery after a sickening tackle from Birmingham defender Martin Taylor in Saturday's Barclays Premier League match at St Andrews.

Osteopath and physiotherapist Tim Allardyce revealed that any delay in attending to such an injury would likely result in amputation.

He said on BBC Radio Five Live: 'You can lose the foot, simple as. Once the foot dislocates like that, it can badly damage the blood vessels and it's very, very serious.

'The foot needs to be relocated immediately or almost immediately to save it and emergency surgery is completely necessary.'

Allardyce warned Croatia international Eduardo he faces a long road back to fitness and fears he may never fully recover.

'Imagine your worst ankle sprain and make it about 10 times worse and you're getting close to where Eduardo is,' Allardyce said.

'He could be out for several months. We'd expect a normal person to be out for about six months.

'With the level of fitness he'll need to get back to, it could be anywhere around the nine months mark.'

He added: 'Potentially, the bones will heal but there's all the other damage around the area, such as the ligament damage, the tendon damage, the soft tissue damage, the damage to the joint capsule.

'He's going to have to do an awful lot of work to regain full mobility and strength to the ankle to get him up to the standard of playing international football. Whether he can do that or not, I'm not sure.'

Even if Eduardo makes a complete physical recovery, Allardyce is also concerned about any lasting psychological trauma.

'Once you've sustained such a serious injury, you'll always tend to be aware of it before you regain full strength and confidence,' he said.

'It will have a big psychological effect, certainly for the next year, maybe for several months after that.'

And yet, some say it wasn't that bad??

Mathieu Flamini has revealed the determination of the Arsenal players to win the Premier League title in honour of broken-leg victim Eduardo.
The Croatia international is facing many months on the sidelines after suffering the setback following a tackle by Birmingham defender Martin Taylor during Saturday's 2-2 draw at St Andrews.

A distraught Taylor, who was red-carded for the challenge, went to visit Eduardo in hospital in Birmingham yesterday before he was transferred to a London hospital.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has back-tracked on his initial comment minutes after the final whistle that Taylor 'should never play football again'.

But the incident still left the Arsenal players feeling distressed and now they want to capture the league crown for Eduardo who today celebrates his 25th birthday.

Midfielder Flamini said: 'We have lost Eduardo. It is a terrible injury because he has a broken leg. It was difficult. I have no words to describe what I saw.

'It was maybe the worst injury I have seen. We will have to stay very close to him because it's going to be difficult. It will be difficult to get over. He is a friend and a team-mate. It upsets you.

'Would I like to win the title for Eduardo? Yes, of course. We wanted to win it before, but now we want to win it also for him. Eduardo is not going to be with us for a long time so, of course, we want to win it for him.'

Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner, who spent last season on loan at Birmingham, believes Taylor would not have deliberately looked to inflict an injury on Eduardo.

The Danish international said: 'We obviously have to think about Edu who is terribly hurt. We wish him all the best.

'I know Martin Taylor and he is not a player who goes in to hurt people - never. He is really calm. I've been told he is very upset and I know he would be like that.

'But in football things like this happen. Even though he is not one who does bad tackles, this was a bad tackle and he deserved to be sent off. The referee had no choice.

'I could see from the players' reaction that it didn't look very good. I could see everyone running on to the pitch, I thought something was wrong. It made us all really sad.'

Taylor has already issued a statement insisting there was 'no malicious intent' in his challenge on Eduardo.

Well, that was nice of Taylor to visit him in hospital, wasn't it? (I'm not being sarcastic).

This is not the way he would of wanted to spend his 25th birthday, but I am sure that he can get through it.

He could also have died from infection, wanna charge Taylor with attempted murder?

OK, maybe that's extreme but come on, Eduardo still has his foot and you can't honestly believe it was deliberate. I haven't heard anyone say it wasn't a serious injury either so I have no idea what you're playing at.
