fair enough

i argue that if you want to look at what a team contributes to season crowds, you should look at home and away

haha yeah it depends on who im arguing against (lol)

If im arguing against a dragons supporter ill use home. If against a bulldogs supporter ill use away!

But in all seriousness, i dont mind either figure as i think for our crappy season we did well in both home/away figures.

Calls me a liar and then proceeds to lie himself:lol:

 pulls out a figure from his arse:lol:
 20,527:lol:

Do you actually offer anything but 5 laughing smilies per post?

The 20,527 figure is accurate - taxidriver is referring to home & away crowd averages combined, of which the Dragons are the best behind Brisbane.

Tard

I was clearly talking about home crowd averages the whole way through and then he clearly used the home and away average to try and make the Dragons look better in relation to the Eels as the Eels owned them in home crowd averages

If you're talking about the highest-drawing team in Sydney the answer is quite obviously the Bulldogs. Easily the highest average of the 9 Sydney clubs. It's great that Souths and Saints have so many ticketed members but if it doesn't equate to bums on seats then...

Playing 12 games at ANZ,if Parra played 12 games there they would beat the Doggies crowd averages

Parra/Souths 25,152(Train problems,would have been over 30k easily)
Parra/Doggies 31,911

Doggies only had two better crowds then Parra's two ANZ games and one was against Parra

How about the idiot clubs that insist on playing in suburban grounds stop complaining about the advantages the clubs who are smart enough to use ANZ get. And we're PAID to take advantage of those advantages. The Eels could use ANZ too, so while they don't they can't bitch about it being an unfair comparison.

Doggies get there home crowd averages boosted immensely from opposition fans because they play against the big teams like the Eels/Dragons/Souths/Tigers etc etc at ANZ

When Parra play at Parra its 95% Parra fans

:roll:Doggies living off away fans:roll:

Financial advantages - Yes. Football related advantages - No.

We are lucky enough to have 2 fantastic suburban grounds smack bang in the middle of our 2 regions. The fans love it, the players love it and opposition fans hate it.

Are you saying that you would rather sit and watch $outh$ at ANZ stadium with 60,000 empty seats rather than on the hill with 20,000 people at a boutique stadium in the suburbs?

Rubbish re your home games. Our fans have been showing up in strong numbers to Parramatta Stadium
in most recent times. Clearly you watch games on Channel 9 far too much as opposed to going to them.

Yes. I'm a huge fan of our move to ANZ. As well as helping us financially in a big way it is the way of the future, the 21st century. And it won't be long before 20,000 isn't enough room for successful sydney teams. If we do as well in 2011 as I think we will, 20,000 will be our floor rather than our ceiling in 2012.

Your logic is completely arse-up... train problems LOLOL

Those games you claim would've got more by playing at ANZ... do they include the Grand Final replay that only had 7,000 people rock up to Parra?

The final round retirement tribute for Cayless where only 11,000 rocked up?

Round 18 v Cowboys only 11,000?

How exactly would ANZ have helped you fit more?

If you've ever been to ANZ for a Bulldogs home game you'd know that's far from the truth.

Doggies living off away fans? LOL.

If you've ever been to ANZ for a Bulldogs home game you'd know that's far from the truth.

In fairness, whilst it is very debatable if the Eels would have beaten the Bulldogs crowd average this year if they played all their games at ANZ, it is believable that they would have finished with a far better crowd average had they taken a few of their bigger games to ANZ.

Round 1 vs the Dragons, the match against the Roosters and their Sunday afternoon clash against the Wests Tigers were all technical sell outs, so if they did head to ANZ they could have drawn more.

I mean those types of 'lock outs' just go to show why the Bulldogs have it right, they play at a venue where they can grow, so when they are having a great year, they can not only fit their own fans in, but then they can also have as many away fans as they want. Clubs like the Eels and Dragons have put an artificial cap on their crowd growth, especially when things are going well for them.

The larger venue means they can offer memberships are more affordable prices, thus growing their member numbers, and thus their crowds, even when they don't perform. It's exciting to think actually how much the Bulldogs crowd averages might jump up if the club has a good year on the field and have some good luck with weather for their big games in 2011...
