They trie hard and played pretty well through the whole game just had a few moments of ill discipline cost them. Chances were everywhere for Chicago but they never took it.

Devils lost to the Islanders today darn it.

Its not looking too good for the Pens as they are down 2-1,

Much better for the Red Wings though, they are up 3-0 on the Predators

Blackhawks will be taking on the Kings a little later let's see how that goes after the Hawks had a great nice yesterday 6-3. Shapr with a hat rick and Toews also performed well.

Hurricanes and Capitals fired both their head coaches and got two new guys to take over. For the caps its Dale Hunter and for the Canes its Kirk Muller.

Both teams will have their first games with their new coaches tomorrow, Caps v Blues, Canes v Panthers

Also, Montreal's Max Pacioretty has been suspended 3 games for his hit, on Penguins defenseman Kris Letang which broke his nose.

Punishments like these are being handed out by the NHL's Department of Player Safety, and I've noticed with this coming about the ones who are being suspended, which by the way is good when deemed illegal, is that int he actual games itself they aren't being penalised so its kind of like most games now where a separate department will review tie situation then hand down its penalty. Interesting.

Rangers v Penguins and Blackhawks v Coyotes also tomorrow.

Well, the Pens handed the Capitals their second consecutive loss under their new coach taking the game 2-1 in Washington
