From the highly acclaimed goal.com, bullshit free. Numbers don't lie.

Pretty hard to argue. England and Spain are just affluent versions of the SPL.

In the BL the top 3 teams on equal points, Gladbach 1 point behind. Quality stuff. Nerve racking.

9 points separate the top 5 in Serie A.

13 points separate the top 8 in France.

While in the English SPL we have Man C are 8 points in front of 3rd, 13 in front of 4th and a whopping 18 points in front of 5th.

No point even mentioning La Liga. Franco CF way in front.

BL, L1 and Serie A are where it is at.

I must admit, I do like the Bundesliga, a fun league to support. The football isnt up to Barca standard of course, but its still good, the league is close, every team has personality, even watching last season, a team such as St Pauli was fun to watch even tho they sucked.

and they have a good highlights show on one. watch it.

Will always prefer Serie A tho.

Even tho a Euro Superleague would be the best.

btw I massively disagree that La Liga is similar to SPL. I know what you're getting at, but cmon! Celtic and Rangers win because they dont suck as bad as the other shit teams. In La Liga, Barca and Real have way more money and win, but at least the other teams are semi decent. I know who would win between Valencia and Motherwell

BL has been great this year for the neutral fan, despite the absence of the legendary Eintracht Frankfurt...

In fairness to La Liga though, I still find if very much watchable because Real and Barca are still very much prone to dropping points to other teams. These two teams have packed schedules with Cup matches and European matches to play, coupled with the fact that every time another Spanish team plays them, it's like a GF for them, so they rise to the occasion...

Slightly off-topic, but while it's on my mind, Llorente would have to be THE best striker in the world that is not playing for a 'major' European team. Chelsea, if they were smart, could have gotten him for a fraction of what they paid for Torres and would have scored far more goals...

I only mean SPL in the two horse race. La Liga is exceptional quality and doesn't have the run up and down all day bullshit EP£ fans love.

How are you going to justify this comment when Milan knock Arsenal out of the CL in a few weeks?

Eredivisie also deserves a mention:

PSV...........41
Twente......39
AZ.............39
Ajax...........34
Heerenveen 34
Feyenord.... 34

Yeah good call there. Eredivisie has fallen off the radar a little bit in recent times. I used to enjoy it on ESPN/Setanta

Good to see the non-plastic, commercialised leagues are competitive and greatly supported by their fans.
