Merrylands second division team couldn't buy a win this year so alot of them went down to there division 3 team. No suprise they ended up winning that Division. If guildford can keep most of there guys from last year they will be in with a decent chance .

I meant to say that their 1st division side have gone across to guildford. I'm pretty sure that their 3rd division side started in 2nd division and got flogged every week so then got put back to 3's.

Even though guildford won 2nd division this year there is a huge gap between that and 1st division. For them to be competitive with teams like wenty and cabra they will need a lot of new players

mate you are a peanut, it's the easiest thing in the world to get on a blog and talk trash. why don't you tell everyone how many and who these players were!!! get a few facts! for your information the merrylands second team was made up of a bunch of over 30's blokes who wanted to have another season with there mates plus a few young kids 1 or 2 years out of C grade. there were 2 kids that could have played C grade in 2011.
and the first team ended up not playing for the second half of the year so guys from the second team had to back up and play 2 games just so the Rams didn't lose any points or money ( ITS $500 A FORFIET AND MERRYLANDS CERTAINLY CAN'T AFFORD THAT). it's a small club compared to wenty, guildford or cabra and to even field 2 sides is a lot bigger effort than most of the big clubs are putting in for the PDJRL to win a comp was a top effort. every player there paid registration not like the big clubs who even though they are not suppose still pay.
SO GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE YOU GET ON BLOGS TALKING ABOUT THINGS YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW ZERO ABOUT.

Easy, none.
Cabra, Mounties, Wenty & Hills all playing in Sydney Shield.
Guildford, making the step up to Sydney Shield and Merrylands lucky to field a 3rd Div team.

That means the once mighty Parra A Grade will be reduced to a combined 2/3 Div comp.
Disgraceful.
Last one out of Parra, turn off the lights.

There has been no consultation with the clubs by the current administration and they have restricted the competitions to the point where they cant compete with any enjoyment or certainty.

Now that they have an alternative, why wouldnt they jump at it?

The administration is treating the clubs with contempt and the clubs have no faith in them.
The only saviour for Parra is that the big clubs are constitutionally bound to compete otherwise, they may have jumped earlier.

The administration has lost sight of the ideals of the game but the clubs have not, therefore, they have united and have taken action, the administration however is still blindly going about their business with no plan for rectification.

This will take a long time to heal.

well hopefully the smaller clubs can field sides in a-grade and maybe build themselves into stronger teams and stronger clubs and eventually get rid of all the crap and all clubs work together and make the parramatta junior league as strong as it once was.

Wenty have a team and they are flogging everyone +206 after 5 games.

If you are referring to Wenty's side in Parramatta A grade, they only beat Merrylands by 12 and Greystanes by 6 even though Greystanes had a guy sent off in the 20th minute. The majority of their points have come from playing Hills (who have been pushed down to 2nd division), and understrength Guildford and Parramatta teams. I think this comp could be a little closer than most expected

Go to nswrl website for Sydney shield results

There are 2 sets of discussions on this thread:

1 Sdney Shield - as indicated results on nswrl website and I also post the results on the Bundy Cup thread every week as it is essentially the reserve grade of Bundy although there are a couple of stand alone teams.

2 Parramatta A Grade - thus consists of Wenty's 4th team, Guildford's 2nd team and the top sides from Merrylands, Junior Eels and Greystanes. These results are are the sportingpulse website Parramatta section.
