I can't see it happening. The rumour goes it was meted out during TV rights negotiations however he declined almost solely because the ARL can't offer him the money he can get elsewhere. He has supposedly been given a deadline to find the finance (probably from overseas, which would be incredibly unlikely in the current economy) otherwise the deal with Telstra would almost certainly happen within seconds (relatively speaking). If Nine is sold then it is a certainty Gyngell would be replaced by WIN's man. If that happens he may strongly consider the ARL gig. Even at significantly less dough
