Best centre in the game

In terms of consistency, you would have to go with Lyon on the right and Jennings on the left. Very different players - Jennings relies on sheer speed and footwork, while Lyon relies on footy nous and ball skills - but equally effective.

Ferguson and Hodges (both right centres) are devastating, but the former when he has his head screwed on, and the latter when his body isn't falling to pieces.

Players like Josh Morris, Steve Matai, Brent Tate, Shaun Kenny-Dowall are a rung below those top four players. All of them have strong aspects to their game and on their day are definitely representative standard players, but aren't as consistently devastating as the top tier. Would have had Chris Lawrence and Jamal Idris in there too, but they have fallen off a fair bit.

There is plenty of new talent in the up-and-coming generation, though! Tim Simona, Konrad Hurrell, Dylan Walker, Justin O'Neill, Jarrod Croker, Tim Lafai, Dane Gagai, Joseph Leilua, Dean Whare, Kane Linnett, Jacok Loko, Ryan Morgan

Lyon.

He's a sensational player.

Just doesn't get the credit he deserves because he's that rare creature that doesn't want to represent his state or country.

On the other hand when he has played SOO he has had his are sliced, diced and handed to him with a cherry on top.

Can't fault his club form though.

Hodges is the best centre to play the game over the past decade and one can only wonder his stature if he wasn't so injury prone. Daylight second and without counting fullback Inglis, Josh Morris third.
