The great man will lead us back to the top, meanwhile Bea will be making room in the parra cutlery draw for another spoon.

Parramatta are a better side than their performances showed last year and they've made some good signings for next season.

Last year they were badly led and the constant chopping and changing of their line up did nothing for their results. But on the plus side it gave some youngsters some badly needed experience.

A lot will depend on them finding someone to play in the middle to get the best out of Sandow. Parra signed Peats to distribute now they need a very solid five eighth. They've signed Corey Norman but I'm not sold on him yet.

What Parra needs is a Maloney type player that can do the majority of the half work and feed Sandow into spaces where he can exploit his speed and his natural ability with the ball in broken play.

Sandow isn't a leader and organiser, he's an instinctive player that reacts to what happens around him.

I can't see Hayne partnering him in the halves either because he's that instinct type player too. If Hayne moves to five eighth then Sandow will have to leave Parra.

Even without a good five eighth they'll be better for the absence of Stuart and the addition of their new signings.

I'm tipping 10th to 12th as being within their reach.

Signings

Will Hopate (speed out wide)
Corey Norman (five eighth - hopefully)
Justin Hunt (five eighth)
Lee Mossop (Prop)
Nathan Peats (hooker)
Brenden Santi (Lock)

Losses

Cheyse Blair
Matt Keating
Reni Maitua
Jake Mullaney
Pat O Hanlon

Off contract and yet to re-sign

Daniel Penese
Ben Roberts
Nathan Smith
Vai Toutai
Taniela Lasalo

On balance - Parra have addressed their key weaknesses, have gained experience for young players and have cut out the biggest cancer at the club

They have to do better next season. They just have to.

Stuart hasn't given up, he can stay green without f**king up blue and yellow.

Hopefully the days of Parramatta surprising are now over, with good management they may once more become intimidating.

Agree. We have a good coach and football manager in place. The players want to play under Arthur and Anderson made it clear he will be the one sealing with the inept board and let brad focus on the team which is a good thing

The signings are pretty solid and have a lot of potential to improve the team, without being superstars (although Hoppa has the potential to be one). Also the (positive) new coach factor and Anderson's influence should drive some improvement.

The dysfunctional board is overstated by the media in terms of its impact on the on-field performance. If they can get a few early-season wins with the new signings performing they can have an acceptable season. Hayne staying on the park will be critical though and he has had an injury prone past two years

I think thats the plan Glen. Improve and be on about 6-8 wins by Origin - and stop the floggings. That should allow us to have a better shopping experience for 2015. Sandow will have a great season - or we will have good coin to find his replacement.

They signed a heap of players with get out clauses absolutley wrong thing to do their squad looks a bit better then last year but they still need to get rid of so much crap and try and get a couple of big name players into that squad first thing they need to do is find a someone to partner sandow because Roberts is absolutely useless whether its Hayne or someone else from the juniors a half is needed.

This is perfect.

Someone is bitter, unless Brad Arthur is a worse coach than Kearney we will finish at least 12th, our roster is in no way terrible. We've unearthed some great talent that will add a lot to the team when coupled with the new recruits.

it would be great for parramatta to finish above canberra and then people will realise just how overrated ricky stuart is as a club coach.
( but no doubt ricky will claim all the credit for the parra improvement )

As an old Bears fan I find it hard to say this but you're off your head JT

Someone finally found a way to record dribble on a keyboard!

He did say that Roberts is useless proving that you can dribble inanely and still get something completely right

PS Lucas - Parra have signed two five eighths and have Sandow for halfback. The trick will be working out if either of their signings can supply the stability Sandow needs in his halves partner.

I think they'll go with Norman to start in the halves. But can he steer a team round the park?
