Sunnyboys to tour again

For anyone who knows the story of this band and "what could have been"

Although I am of the belief that we are better off remembering just how good they really were rather than watching a shadow.

No doubt they will enjoy it as will the punters who'll fork out for the privilege.

Certainly not something I expected to read about.

I knew Jeremy Oxley around 12 years ago.

Used to drink at a pub I managed in Sydney. Probably at his lowest point.

Used to talk more rubbish than anyone I'd ever served. Brought his paintings in to sell them for beer money.

Told some crazy stories of the 80's though, hard to tell what was real or not but fascinating stuff.


He used to walk around the bar and just join people's conversations randomly, ons day a fairly large fella named Karl objected and pushed him away. Next thing you know Jeremy has thrown Karl on the ground and laid the boot into him at least 5 times. After that an all in brawl broke out.

Wild times.

But it's great to see he's doing much better these days.

Worth going to see just to see how far Jeremy has come.

They may not play like they used to but his is an amazing story of coming back from very serious adversity.

This is a bloke who's been locked up in institutions on more than one occasion.
