I don't get why the Tigers and Eels would want to play a trial in Alice Springs in February. Seems pretty stupid.

Wonder why the broncos and titans are playing a trial the same weekend as the nines? Says a lot about the broncos attack I guess.

reason were playing parramatta in alice springs is due to the fact parramattas getting paid by the nt government to play a trial in alice springs

The list might still be a work in progress but the venue selection is a massive step back from the spread in the bush and non-heartland areas we seen last year!

Brisbane metro gets 4 games! Surely regional towns like Mackay, Cairns or Rocky would be better served by some of these games. Easts Tigers v melbourne at Langlands fair enough but the likes of bulldogs v melbourne at suncorp is going to get what 10-15k as a trial? some thought could have seen it in Central or Northern Qld.

As for NSW, 2 x @ shark park, 1 x @ brooky, 1 x @ belmore! South coast, central west, rivierina and north coast not servived at all in the fixtures so far.

imo each region should have a trial game each year locked in, rotated around the towns/cities within reason in the area.

Nice job by the warriors again though, Hamilton, Dunedin and north shore auckland gives them a nice spread to promote their brand

The Cowboys seemed to indicate in the press that the Broncos and Titans refused to play in the North.

Maybe its a "rotational" thing, so next year the Cowboys get to choose and they games will be in Mackay and Cairns.

Regardless its caused a bit of angst in the northern press, its not a great look for the game in one of its heartlands.

I would refuse too, much too hot up there in February.

Unfortunately it's both the Tits and Broncos turn to chose the trial locations this year. It is indeed done a rotational basis as you say.

I would like to see the first trials be half normal rules and the other half the same as the nines format. It's usually too hot in Feb anyway for full matches.
