Can the 355 first grade games be broken by a current player?

Considering Luke Douglas hasn't missed a game since debut, he's gotta be some chance.

I think he's over 200.

Unfortunately it might catch up on him.

Wade Graham turns 24 at the end of the season and has about 110. Not bad.

For the record, k hunt was the youngest player to reach 100, so was on track to be the best. not sure who might be second, but they'll be in with a great shot.

looking through some of the youngs

19 year olds
Milford = 18 games
20 year old
RTS = 31 games
Tuamololo = 35 games
21 year old
Cordner = 49 games
Wighton = 27 games
22 year old
Ryan james = 43 games
Aaron Woods = 64 games
Corey Norman = 63 games

Looks like Josh McGuire has the best of the 23 year olds with 89, means he'll rack up the century this season with plenty of seasons to go, check that Idris has 103.

Only other ones that were interesting were McCullough (25, 125games) and Douglas (27 194 games)

He'd be doing better if he had more than 1 finals series in 8 seasons (pretty unlucky record really).

192 games though.

He would have smashed the record, but decided to kick some behinds in a marking game

Define golden clubs and gifting.

To answer the question I think Smith will break it, he never gets injured.

If he stays injury free i think Jarrod Croker is going to go over 300 games and if he stays at canberra, seems almost certain to break Jason's club record

He might go close. He doesnt turn 24 until the end of this year and could have 140+ games at that point. Even 7 years of 24 games gets him 308, let alone if he plays finals footy. If he plays NRL until 33, and remains pretty healthy, he will go VERY close

Pearce, 24, 156
Mullen, 26, 171

Both in positions perhaps more suitable to go deeper into their thirties than those listed.

Pearce is one functioning brain cell in a coaches head away from NSW cup. He is Brett Firman with an influential dad.

The 320 club

AGE AT DEBUT
Lockyer 18
Menzies 19
Lamb 19
Fittler 17
Lyons 19
Hindmarsh 18
Ettingshausen 17
Gerard 19

SEASONS
Lockyer 16
Menzies 15
Lamb 17
Fittler 17
Lyons 16
Hindmarsh 16
Ettingshausen 16
Gerard 15

AVERAGE GAMES PER SEASON
Lockyer 22.8
Menzies 23.2
Lamb 20.5
Fittler 19.8
Lyons 20.7
Hindmarsh 20.7
Ettingshausen 20.7
Gerard 21.3

Basically, you need to debut at 18 or 19, and have played 150 fg games in 7 seasons (25 yrs old), and play for around a decade after that, with minimal injuries.

Which makes Mick Cronin's 216 fg games all the more remarkable, and he didnt start until he was 27! At an average of 21.6 games per season, and having made Gerringing's FG side at 17 - there's a 20 year career that could have been around 430 fg games had they all been with Sydney clubs.

Cronin was and still is my all time favourite player, if he had been less obstinate and had the desire he could have more records to his name. He should have games deducted for frightening the shit out of staff by turning up at the last minute.

Jake Friend turned 24 a week ago and has played 120 FG games. He also has a great injury record; similar to Smith.

He'll most likely crack 300 FG games but 355 is a huge mountain to climb.
