"Sweet and Soward"

Some fans hold up banners at games.

Some of these banners refer to specific players. "Sweet and Soward" "Simply Stagg-ering" and "On my signal, unleash Morley" are examples of this kind of banner.

But what happens when that player leaves that club?

Do the fans destroy the banner?

Does it get gifted to the next club? Will Penrith fans be holding up that Sweet and Soward banner?

Does it get put into storage, ready to be used again if their club signs another player with the same surname?

What happens to the banner?

a better question is who would come up with "simply stagg-ering"?

i liked that morely one, and the one that LU user had "reserved for ghosts" to refer to ANZ stadium

Generally the banner retires as the play does (or leaves the club).
