MELBOURNE Storm winger Matt Duffie’s shocking bad luck has continued with the 23-year-old suffering another season-ending knee injury.

Duffie has again ruptured his ACL and will go under the knife for the second time in two years.

He went down at Storm training on Wednesday with scans confirming the worst on Thursday afternoon. The New Zealander had been on the comeback trail after undergoing both shoulder and knee operations last season. He played in the club’s trial loss to Canberra earlier this month as well as last weekend’s Auckland Nines. It is the same knee that was operated on last season. Duffie also missed the 2012 premiership after hurting his shoulder on the eve of the finals series.

Didn't that happen to Kyle Stanley last season?

Terrible luck, regardless.

All the best to him with the recovery.

Duff was good jockey back in his days in Brisbane.

He'll be ripping it up at Eagle Farm again before you know it.

Sucks for the bloke though.

Really good in the air, but a bit of a liability coming off our line.

Hope he has a speedy recovery and is raring to go next season

Kid can't catch a break.

Or can, depending how you look at it.
